A power animal, also known as a spirit animal, is a protector guiding who helps or protects individuals. My power animal is an otter. The characteristics to the otter are playful, friendly, dynamic, joyful, helpful, and sharing. Some characteristics match me more than others. When I think of an otter I think of a playful and energetic animal. I am very sarcastic and I joke around. I like making myself and others laugh, just makes me feel better knowing I made someone laugh. You will always see me and those around me laughing. At lunch I sit with my closest friends and there is not a day that we are not laughing so hard we cannot breath. I do consider myself friendly, but if people get on my bad side I will not be friendly to that person. I won’t be rude or act harshly, but I will keep my words to myself and be silent, not talking to that person. I can also easily make friends, I am a very social person and can get alone with most people. There are times where I do not get along with people. But like the old saying “treat others the way you want to be treated.” Therefore, if you treat others kindly and with respect, most likely they will treat you the same as you treat them.
