Have you ever spent most of your times helping others? Can you remember when was the last time you accord your help to others? Do you often feel that every kindness that you give, you will get back the benefit? If so, you may have the same conception as me. The power of kindness never ends but it will always flow like a river. I believe with this statement because nineteen years living in this world, I have realise the effort to help people in need was not wasting my time and it really transforms my life to a better future. Despite the truth, there are still people that do not believe with it because they are busy working without noticing. Believe it or not, the experiences during my secondary school in taking responsibilities in community, friend and leader have turn me to believe the existence of the power of kindness. …show more content…
He is just one of the millions people who have discovered the true meaning of leadership. The first time I step into secondary school, I was a student who wants to hold position especially to be a prefect. For me, position is a great way to gain popularity and be different from the normal student. Besides, the words “just go for it” from my father was one of the factor I want it. However, after being exposed to the world of leadership, I felt it was totally different and I realised that I was wrong. My intention was wrong. As the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, every action is based on one’s intention. The reality is the position we hold is a trust from god to lead the earth and its communities to a bright
Kindness does come with age according to Saunders, but that should not stop a young college graduate from focusing their mindset on being compassionate. Saunders conceived the idea that kindness can change the world and start the revolution of selflessness.
Living in a modern world many people get well educated and are making good changes in the world. But are we forgetting something in our busy society? George Saunders talks about the importance of kindness in his commencement address. Saunders is an American writer and university professor who made the commencement address at Syracuse University in New York state in may 2013. This essay will focus on the style of Saunders’ language and on the values he advocates in his speech.
So constantly being kind and showing those kind emotions can show your character and build a reputation that you can uphold. In his quote, Elie Wiesel stated “Even on the edge of the abyss, it is possible to dream exalted dreams of compassion.” I believe he talked about
The world is selfish place, full of selfish people with cruel intentions. No one does anything descent or kind for anyone else, without it benefitting themselves in some kind of way. Kindness (generosity?) isn 't free. We all pay for it in the end…eventually.
Being kind isn't always a good thing it could ultimately be the bad thing in some cases, The reason I say this is because you might be kind to the wrong person and they will do something bad. For an example being kind to a robber in precautions of not knowing what they will do. In Romeo and Juliet someone being kind caused terrible accidents that had ultimately caused the death of both teens. How just rejecting situations or decisions could have avoided events causing a lots of accidents that could have been handled in an easier manner. A careful analysis will show that misguided kindness led to the deaths of the two young lovers.
Even the littlest things can show kindness. From pulling over on the side of the road or helping a classmate to raising 40million dollars, kindness is everywhere. Showing kindness is possible by anyone, it’s just being generous without wanting anything in return. Not to be confused with being a doormat or being someone who is easily used to anyone's expense.
Commencement Speech According to the dictionary kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. This seems quite adequate as a description, however, in our modern society, we are easily caught up in our ravels for success, for happiness, for love. Often so that we solemnly forget that leading a happy life is usually not possible without the kindness of others. It might not be possible to truly define what kindness is, even though the dictionary makes an attempt, and perhaps it is not even necessary.
I had learned this by coming to understand that kindness isn’t only kind gestures, but instead a string of acts that conclusively lead to both parties seeing their own self value. It had been during my last years in middle school, a manipulative overlord of a person, someone I had been friends with for years, controlled me. Much like Mama Elena, this person whom I have given the title, “X”, was someone who needed to feel as if she had a tremendous amount of control over others. This person would tell me how worthless we, my friend, Dylan, and I, were. "X" would often blackmail us because of social mistakes like talking out of turn or forgetting to give her things like gifts or homework.
Based on a tough and rough childhood, he has become a civil right activist. The experience and tough background he went through impacts so much on his leadership styles. In his first meeting with coaching staff at Titan, he had the idea and notion that he was not wanted. Throughout the meeting he remained polite and calm despite being pushed back .He portrayed a leadership style of being diplomatic and respectful with a clear agenda which was winning.
Expanding kindness to all things is the trickiest part. But it can be done. Saunders mentions the most respectable names in history as an example of kindness like Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Shakespeare. Kindness is what saves each of us. Each of us can recall the random act of kindness that was done to each of us.
Sinners in the Hands of An Angry Preacher “There are good leads who actively guide and bad leaders who actively misguide. Hence leadership is about persuasion, presentation, and people skills. ”-Shiv Khera Jonathan Edwards presents arguments in his sermon “Sinners in the hands of an angry God” that are meant to persuade his congregation into converting to Christianity. Edwards uses tone, irony, and imagery to make the people convert to Christianity.
Everything you do, everything you say has a ripple effect, and you never know how far a little kindness can
He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent" (McCarther 2015). A leader should lead from the front and also have the ability to think quickly on their feet and take care of their Soldiers. Have faith and trust that the leadership is doing their best to keep everything in
There are many different views and perceptions on leadership and what it exactly means. This is because there are many different types of leaders and many different views on them. But the basic meaning of leadership is an individual who can select the right group of followers and influence them through their distinct gifts, abilities, skills and knowledge. A leader focuses on the follower and puts out a roadmap to the overall mission and vision; hereby the follower is influenced to willingly and enthusiastically in achieving the mission and vision. The leader achieves this influence by humbly delivering a visionary perception of the future in clear terms that resonates with the follower in terms of their believes and values.
A leader is someone who takes initiative and leads the group. A true leader doesn’t try to lead, they just do. A leader is effective in whatever they might be doing. Leaders have a significant role in the community; without our great pool of leaders, from all corners of our lives, our country would most likely be headed into a downhill spiral.
