In Love Actually one of the characters uses large signs to let the woman he fell for know how he truly felt about her and couples all around use the same sort of signs to convey their feelings to their significant other or a crush. People often use the boombox scene from Say Anything to express the same kind of feelings in a truly cute and heartfelt way. It’s like when Cyrano covers for Christian’s mistakes on the balcony with Roxane (Rostand 121-133), it’s a tender moment between people who love each other, even if one of them doesn’t really know who they’re falling in love with. These heartfelt gestures are remembered vividly by those who get to experience them, so they have to really count in order to make an impact that will be looked back on
In the poem “To My Dear and Loving Husband”, the wife knows exactly how she feels in regards to love. She begins by explaining how her husband and she are united as one. She further explains that she loves her husband more than other women can compare to their own love for their husbands. “Societies Love” The passage from “The Other Paris” by Mavis Gallant illustrates society’s expectations and what it holds over people in the world. Abigail Adams, the Wild Colt Ella Jeanquart “Wild colts make the best horses” (A Supporting Role) this quote means that if you are wild and free you are able to do your best and be the best at what you do. This may sound like it came straight out of a fairytale you may have read when you were younger but this was something that Abigail Adams grandmother told her when she was young and it had inspired many people to follow their passions and it especially inspired Abigale to follow her dreams of educating herself and to fight for women's rights. Abigail Adams had integrity and great leadership skills. She was a successful business woman because of her willingness to take risks and she lived by the credo “nothing venture nothing have” something that her husband John found alarming. (Holton, Woody)

Calixta is not the only one who felt the overwhelming feeling of pure happiness, Alcee also experienced it. Therefore, when Alcee writes a letter to his wife he uses love and tender words. If I had to explain James’ mother I would use this quote to do so. His mother was abused, tormented, and wounded by her past life, but her marriage uplifted her. The loss of her husband added to Ruth’s timeline but her timeline ends with her children’s success. This success was due to Ruth’s strong character and her non trivial life. Not only is this quote beautiful and produces a strong emotional connection with James’ mother, it reveals a theme in the book.
The poem “anyone lived in a pretty how town” by e.e. cummings and the fictional novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald are about unrequited love and reveals the undying nature of young romance through the use of tone, symbolism, and motifs. My book reflection is over The Heartbreaker by Ali Novak. This book is about a girl falling in love with the lead singer of America’s favorite boy band and trying to overcome an overwhelming amount of obstacles. The book, in my opinion, was pretty amazing.
