ABSTRACT
HV Power Supply is needed in Gieger Muller tubes which is an instrument to measure the dose count and dose rate of nuclear radiation in a particular body, depending on the purpose and body there are different kinds of Gieger Muller tubes having different specifications as well. These instrument need High Voltage Power Supply to drive them but different values of voltages are needed for different purposes so instead of changing the voltage every time the programmable power supply is used. HV Module (CA 10) is used to convert low voltages to high voltages by the factor of 200 (i.e if 5V input is given it converts it to 5*200=1000V). The input of module is programmed by PIC Microcontroller and then further interfaced with eeprom, DAC

The primary function of a power supply is to convert one form of electrical energy to another and, as a result, power supplies are sometimes referred to as electric power converters
Types of electronics power supply
There are three major types of power supply that can be used in this project. Each have their own advantages and disadvantages and as a result each is used for purposes under different circumstances.
The three major types of electronics power supply are:
Rectified and smoothed power supply: These electronics power supplies are the simplest types, and are generally used for non-critical applications where performance is not a major issue. This type of power supply was widely used in thermionic valve or vacuum tube equipment as it was not so easy to regulate supplies, and often the requirements were not so critical.
Linear regulated power supply: This form of electronics power supply is able to provide a very high level of performance. However the fact that it uses a series regulator element means that it can be comparatively inefficient, dissipating a significant proportion of the input power as heat. Nevertheless these power supplies can offer very high levels of regulation with low values of ripple,
I first determined that the hardware circuit was mainly composed of a stabilized voltage supply module, a light source module, a photoelectric conversion module, a low pass filter module and a dividing hardware module. I had completed the design of some hardware circuits before this project and found that the complex hardware had tedious wiring. As for this project, each module had a chip requiring power supply. If the power required by each module was supplied through an external power supply, the power connection wiring would be complex. So I independently designed a power module divided by two CS3673 chips to obtain +12V and -12V voltage.
Existing basic unit is shown in fig.2.1. As shown in fig.2.1, the basic unit consist of three dc voltage sources and five unidirectional power switches. In this structure, power switches (S_2,S_4),(S_1,S_3, S_4, S_5), and (S_1,S_2,S_3, S_5) should not be simultaneously turned on in order to protect the dc voltage sources from the short circuit. Table 2.1 shows the existing basic unit power switches turn on and off states, where the basic unit is able to generate three different voltage levels at the output that is 0, V_1+V_3, and V_1+V_2+V_3. It is important to note that the basic unit is only able to generate positive levels at the output.

Question 2 Advances in technology drive a great amount of the change that occurs in business organizations. The competitive advantage in today 's business environment includes staying on top of technological advancements that impact your industry. Business strategies that include acquiring new technologies should be guided by best practices that consider the impact on the firm, customers, employees, vendors and other stakeholders. Dream Destinations has too many odds against them in such a competitive market and so technological changes must be implemented if they wish to satisfy their shareholders. Dream Destination goals must be revisited.
The State called as an expert witness C. Michael Hoffman, an employee of the United States Treasury Department, experienced in the examination of physical evidence by neutron activation analysis. The process, "is fundamentally one where the material to be analyzed is first made radioactive so that it will give off or emit radiation in the form of gamma rays. This radioactive sample is then exposed to a scintillation crystal; and every time a gamma ray interacts with the crystal, it emits a flash of light, which is transformed into an electrical pulse whose voltage is proportional to the energy of the gamma rays. An electronic device will then sort the electrical impulses into different energy groups and will add up the pulses in each group. The results are then graphed on an oscilloscope screen.
Public Health Problem Radiation is described as energy that is commonly found in x-rays, nuclear power plants, radioactive materials, sunlight, and in many more sources according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA, 2015). It can be used as a tool to diagnose and treat diseases. Although there are benefits of radiation, great exposure to radiation is a concern that may be linked to mutations, health problems, and even cancer. This is a problem in today’s society due to the social norms that influence the youth on beauty standards, which can lead to different forms of health issues.
Two hundred monitor units (MU) administered during each trial on a clinically calibrated linear accelerator. Ionization Dmax made with each material using an Exradin A12 Farmer chamber and read by a Keithley 35614 digital dosimeter with no temperature or pressure corrections made. The current in the dosimeter set to +300. The dose on the electrometer measure the output of each trial in Coulombs x

Non-ionising is found at the end of a long wavelength where as ionising radiation is found at shorter wavelength. Regions of the spectrum: • Gamma radiation- ionizing • X-ray radiation- ionizing • Ultraviolet radiation- non-ionizing • Infrared radiation- non-ionizing • Microwave radiation- non-ionizing • Radio waves- non-ionizing 3- A) Lethal Dose Effects 5-20 Possible late effects; possible chromosomal damage 20-100 Temporary reduction in white blood cells 100-200 Mild radiation sickness within a few hours:
Too much exposure to ionizing radiation can damage the tissues. Children, young women and fetus are more sensitive to this type of radiation than others (Fahey, 2012). • Maintaining the Highest Level of Safety with NM Workers in nuclear medicine should follow safety rules. While working with radioactive materials, personal protective equipment like gloves, protective eye wear and cloths and in some cases fume hoods must be used. NM procedures must be practiced in special closed places.
5.3. Criminological theories to explain the offender’s behaviour POWER CONTROL THEORY John Hagan as well as Gillis and Simpson developed the power control theory in 1985, by using micro and macro-level abstract ideas to explain delinquency in relation to gender differences (Mitchell, 2009:12). Schram and Tibbetts (2013:201) states that the power control theory presumes that gender relations in the family structure will determine the degree of delinquency and the involvement in crime between males and females. Furthermore, this theory presumes that the family structure, gender differences as well as class position will determine the degree of deviant behaviour that will be present in males and females (Anon, 2016:1).
Dental radiographs are important tools in the diagnosis of oral diseases. It helps the dentist to employ appropriate treatment regimen for patient’s dental conditions, and plays a continual important role in dental practice. Radiation dosage from such dental radiographs are low and are thought to present minimal risk (Enabulele & Igbinedion, 2013) The radiation protection is the science and art of protecting people and environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.
Chemistry IA Background information: Introduction: Electrolysis it’s a chemical process that when you pass an electric current into a solution or a liquid that contains ions to separate substances back to their original form. The main components that are required for electrolysis to take a place are: Electrolyte: it’s a substance that when dissolved in water it ionize and then it will contain free moving ions and without these moving ions the process of electrolysis won’t take place. Direct current (DC): This current provides the energy needed to discharge the ions in the electrolyte Electrodes: it’s an object that conducts electricity and it’s used in electrolysis as a bridge between the solution and power supply. A great example
After reading a few articles and doing some research on my own I have reached a valid argument to explain a few reasons why preventative measures need to be taken. In this essay I will first explain how radiation is bad for you skin and why we need to take these measures to fight for our lives. Then I will help educate you on how we can add a few things to our daily routines so we can stay healthier and happier in our everyday life.
Deserts cover 20 percent of the earth’s land surface, which is close to thirty million square miles. Deserts are large and dry regions that receive very little amount of rainfall per year, have a lot of bare soil and low vegetation cover. Despite the common misconception of all deserts being dry and hot, there are cold deserts as well. Areas covered in ice or snow, with limited vegetation plantation, are sometimes called 'cold deserts '. However, in this essay, we will be discussing on survival in hot desert.
