a. According to the online dictionary called Merriam- Webster, it is the period of time in the past before people could write or the time when before history was written down.
The word prehistory gives ideas to prehistoric period. Hence, it can be said that prehistory is the term that is used to show the time period before recorded history. Historians and geologists use the word ‘prehistory’ to denote the period of time since the beginning of the universe and since life began on the planet Earth. It is used to denote the time since human existence began. Also, written records almost do not exist in the case of prehistory.

The Ancient Greek word ἱστορία, istoría, means "knowledge acquired by investigation, inquiry". This is the sense in which it is used by Aristotle in his Historia Animalium. The word entered the English language in 1390 with the meaning of "relation of incidents, story". In Middle English, the meaning was "story" in general. The restriction to the meaning "record of past events", in the sense of Herodotus, arose in the late 15th century. In German, French, and indeed, most Romance and Germanic languages, this distinction was never made, and the same word is used to mean both "history" and "story". The adjective historical is attested from 1561, and historic from 1669. Recorded history begins with the evidences of the ancient world around the 4th millennium BC, and fits with the invention of writing. Moreover, human cultures do not always record all of the information by the historians such as those disasters or the names of people; thus, history for particular kinds of information is only limited based on the types of records that were kept. In order to improve the study of Philippine history, maybe we should start correcting the uncountable errors regarding about history. I was shocked upon entering this prestigious university that mostly of the high school topics are all grievous mistakes. It is history and it must be disseminated as consistent and legitimate as much as possible. That is where we started and so, we must give importance and respect to the information that we spread. Also, those young aspirants and other people that may receive the data might think that it is really the truth since it is being discussed in front of the class and most of the people gathered the same information. So, textbooks, teachers, and others who are greatly misinformed must be corrected as soon as possible before it gets
