Pension Plans By Tay’veun Glenn Introduction Pensions are known as a retirement account that most employers maintain to give employees who have stayed with the company a payout upon retirement. Most employers give recipients of pension accounts a choice between a lump-sum payment or monthly annuity payments that are based upon the amount of time that the employee worked and their final salary prior to leaving the company. There are different types of pension plans and the use of each one is dependent on the employer. The Governmental Accounting Standards Board and Financial Accounting Standards Board both have to report pensions and have designated different ways to account for it.

The Samsung brand identity and values were poorly regarded up until the early 90s. The brand was positioned as a low-end electronics company that was mainly manufacturing consumer televisions and VCRs. Samsung was not able to compete with the industry’s leaders (i.e. Sony) in the global market. A positive change was needed to reinvent the company’s culture and brand position at that time.
Samsung implements the strategy of “ Red Ocean;” which shows that a firm gains competitive advantage by venture into the current market and constructing on the weaknesses of other competitors in the field of similar products. Thus, Samsung“floods the market with many products” which are made by other companies within short duration of time ( Travos,2002). It seems that Samsung made these new products through developing many of manufacturing products of its Smartphones. Q1a. MARKET STRUCTURE OF APPLE INC Apple Inc. operates different types of market structure in terms of their different products. In the smart phone business, they happen to be one of the major players with their different models of the “iphone” which makes them operate in an oligopolistic market. Oligopoly arises when there is an imperfect competition in which there are just few firms producing similar products. As a result of high competition, monopolies, interdependence among firms there are just a few big players having the market power and making it very difficult for new firms to penetrate the market with their products.

Other opportunities the organization is used as gaming devices in households over the next few years; you will notice the organization growth opportunities for the longest time of rewards. The new consoles will normally last for six or seven years and will pay for software sales during that period .Will override the consumer demand that technology and the next generation of games will hit the market. The challenge for smaller companies like Alphabet game to become in the market for potential advantages and longer period.
Particularly, the companies which function in the production and distribution of goods which come in a wide variety of supply in the market where technology becomes a critical driving force and a major concern is the fact that the market seems to depend on the internal and external business factors which may change rapidly as tides move and the market forces come into play. (Miles, R. E. and Snow C. C. 2015). In this case of Lenovo company, Lenovo which has been rated the third largest world brand in the desktop and laptop personal computers being led ultimately by Dell and next to Dell being HP as the second place world supplier of these corporately demanded items. The concept of strategic management is of a major concern to huge enterprises in international business management as it often tells the ultimate fate of a firm regardless of its current market place.

Competitors – The industry that Nissan currently operates in provides lots of potential competitors for them as many automobile companies are developing electric cars which are something Nissan are very keen on focusing on. Nissan currently only run a small market share of the industry so many competitors are dominating the market such as Ford, Vauxhall etc. Nissans competitors have many strengths and weaknesses against Nissan. Some companies such as Ford focus heavily on fuel powered cars which means they will have an advantage against Nissans fuel powered range but Nissan will have an advantage over them with Nissans electric cars and the amount of research that has been put into it. Other companies such as Tesla whose main focus is electric cars are a fairly big competitor towards Nissan and the Nissan leaf range.
