Dorm staff is supposed to take care of students in terms of safety and providing resources for them. As Dr Kelly states, “Dorm staff is responsible for ensuring the safety of residents and connecting students with campus resources when needed.” Not opening a shop in the dorm leads to safety issue for students because they get necessary resource outside when they need. Also, other safety issues happen. For example, one night, we were hungry and we decided to go for shopping. While we were walking, two men were in a car. They were following us, and say bad words about us. Also, taxi drivers try to do bad things with us. According to Amy Okurk, the body of a student has been injured by a Londan cap driver (Okurk). A dog was following my friends and he started barking at them. So, they were running very fast, and they threw all things on our hands, and they were really afraid of the dog. This shows that the students cannot keep their safety intact on campus. So, it is important for the dorm staff of AUIS takes responsibly of students
Chief David L. Perry is the current Chief of Police at Florida State University (FSU), and formerly in Albany, GA and Clemson University. Chief Perry describes many situations that arise around a collegiate campus and what measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the FSU campus. The major emphasis throughout the presentation was on safety of the FSU campus. Early on in the presentation Chief Perry made the statement that a plentiful amount occurs behind the scenes that the students are unaware of.
They ended up saying at the college that you shouldn’t get in the car unless they have a campus sticker but Edmund had a sticker because his mother worked there. A warning was posted at the University of California, Santa Cruz said: “When possible, girls especially, stay in dorms after midnight with doors locked. If you must be out at night, walk in pairs. If you see a campus police patrol car and wave, they will give you a ride. Use the bus even if somewhat inconvenient.
With both campuses being so clean you can always thank the janitorial staff for being there. From cleaning and sanitizing the bathrooms, mopping floors, emptying trashing and cleaning up classrooms, they are the reason that the schools’ environment stays healthy clean and stays a usable safe place. Now the academic help staff is one of the most crucial jobs on campus. They help you with all your academic needs, at the success center and many other places. You will find they are ready to help any student with their homework and study needs.
One last main cause of many of the rapes on campus is the setting. The way each student behaved changed with were they were located and places such as high-risk parties held an attitude that condoned and even encouraged rape. Boswell and Spade identifying the cause of rape helps reduce the rates by making it so faculties can recognize the issues and propose effective

Harpo Allen Middle School Scenario Reflection 1. Describe some approaches that could be used to establish a culture of high expectations for students and staff performances at Harpo Allen Middle School. • First, as a new principal, you will need to acquire an understanding of and appreciation for the culture of the school, then, use your leadership style (such as being a team leader) in order to gain the trust and respect of the staff and students. • Conduct a school climate survey of faculty, parents, and students to gauge how much of the learning process I taking place and what measures need to be incorporated insure that high quality teaching/learning is taking place for the entire school. • Create PLCs to promote high expectations among

Unfortunately, not every student will have a positive mindset or respect of others. Nowadays, the most assaults happen on a college campus and this is a serious issue that can be prevented. Research claims that, “Eighteen percent experienced an attempted and/or completed sexual assault since entering college.” (NSVRC) On an average, that is one in five students worldwide, but we can make those numbers decrease greatly with a
Studies reflect that violence on campus is most commonly perpetrated by students, against students. In response to the Virginia Tech shooting, the U.S. Secret Service, Department of Education, and F.B.I. studied violence at institutions of higher education. As part of this study, 272 incidents of targeted violence were identified through a comprehensive search of open-source reports from 1900 to 2008. The incidents include various forms of targeted violence, ranging from domestic violence to mass murder. Most incidents occurred during the 1990s and 2000s.
Most colleges have various types of dorm rooms available to students. These rooms vary in the number of roommates, layout, and size. The dorms also vary in expense. The difference in prices is what separates the students of contrasting socioeconomic backgrounds. Colleges insist students are exposed to enough diversity around campus and the varying prices do not result in segregation of their students.
Why there Should be Gun Control on College Campuses Student’s Name Institution Affiliation Why there Should be gun Control in College Campuses Introduction The issue of gun control is a hot button as it elicits numerous debates and controversies and splits opinions among citizens. The issue of gun control has been a topic of national debate for quite some time now.
Dorothy Siegel’s argument in the essay “What Is Behind the Growth of Violence on College Campuses?” is persuasive. Siegel persuades the reader by presenting her points and validating them with facts and statistics. One of the strongest aspects of the argument is that contrary to popular belief, students are committing a majority of the crimes that take place on college campuses; the students “themselves may become the assailants”, not persons from outside of the campus. She further supported this by pointing out that students tend to know their attackers. Another strong aspect of her argument is that campus violence is due to substance abuse.
Lastly, I would advise them to contact administration if any additional concerns arise. Educators, administrators, and support school personnel have the great honor of serving today’s youth. We must always protect the students, ensuring their safety as if they were our own, and we must listen to the concerns of all key stakeholders for we serve the
Fraternities and Sororities: Why They Should be Banned The Greek system at collegiate level has been a major part of universities for many decades. Universities nationwide continue to contemplate abolishing fraternities and sororities because of how much trouble they deliberately cause and the negative connotation they give to the college. Fraternities and sororities are progressively becoming more and more virulent because they are rarely punished for their wrongdoings.
