I have many goals for my future. In five years I can see myself with a social work licence helping young adults and children who were like me to find themselves and take hold of the advantages and resources available to them. I understand the time demands of this program and the field training included. I am fully prepared to allocate all time and fully submerge myself in this practice. I am proud of the person that I have become and I can thank my life experience that I had growing up as the catalyst to my early success.
I am honored to be amongst the meritorious students who are being considered for induction into the National Honors Society. Being an active member of this society has been something I have been looking forward to since middle school; having previous family members inducted, I regard acceptance to it a goal I must accomplish. I would be honored to be a member of this society which is known for benefiting others. These limitless opportunities of contributing to my community will help me grow as a person which will undoubtedly help me in my future career in the medical field and leave an impact on my fellow community members. The National Honors Society is an important organization made up of students who demonstrate leadership, service, character,
I would care for them to help my parents and I loved it. I had such a passion with my siblings and it showed me that I would soon want to be a pediatrician. This goal related to my personal purpose because these are the academic steps I am going to take to complete my purpose statement. It also relates to my dreams because my dream job is to become a pediatrician. One obstacle is that I don’t get accepted into the college I don’t want to go to.
As I traveled through each grade of the Croton-Harmon High School, my personal and academic goals helped to me to really flourish. These goals may have varied from year to year because a freshman is a little different from a senior, but they basically had all the same concept: I wanted to strive in school to be the best all-around student I could be, constantly stay focused and immerse myself in the Croton community. By setting my expectations and goals very high, I could flourish academically and really work to my full potential. By following these goals in school I pushed myself very hard and tried to take classes that would challenge me as well as help me to flourish as a student. For example, I have taken 4 APs including some very hard ones like AP biology and AP macroeconomics.
I walked over to tables that had to do with my major and got the information I needed on what skills I need to succeed in the specific major, what type of jobs students have with the major, and much more. Majoring in Human Development and Learning, I must have great speaking skills and must work well with children. I love children and am very excited to see where I can go with my major. In the University College, I can have a concentration in Pre-School and Child Care Administration and this would help me with exactly what I want to do; owning a daycare center and a dance studio for

The agency influenced me to work harder than before not forgetting that have the one year of high school left and this internship will be used in my resume in the future. I am proud to say that I worked hard and showed them that I am an accomplished and responsible student. The internship not only influenced me to work harder but to learn to focus on what I want and one day be successful like my supervisor. Her story was influential and I admire her work. When I am done with high school I hope I can go to college and meet my dreams.
I realize this dream continues to come closer to reality. I will be graduating high school next year with my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This is an advantage as I apply for nursing school. This career best fits me because I will have the necessary qualities and skills needed, I will have the education required, and I am going to significantly impact the lives of others.
