Project Methodology
DEFINITION
The term project methodology means a model which is used by project managers for designing, planning, and implementing a project. It can be defined as:
“A methodology is a system of practices, techniques, procedures and rules used by those who work in a discipline. Lean practices, Kanban and Six Sigma are examples of methodologies.” [1]
By this definition we can understand that methodology provides you a guideline of how you can manage your project. Methodology uses divide and conquer rule, which means that the bigger project is divided into smaller and easy to manage phases. Each phase follows a logical sequence and output of one phase is input of other phase. Project methodology can be defined in various ways.

The methodology provides the guidelines which can be followed while managing the whole project. Methodologies helps maintaining balance between cost, quality, time and scope. There are different methodologies available and the choice is dependent on nature of the project and delivery time. So methodology is the path which we are going to follow to complete our projects in given time and ensuring the maximum output. By this we can say that methodology is the key factor of success of a project.

This report addresses the issues arising from the case study report of Guelph General Hospital. Over the years, the hospital has experienced challenges in the delivery of services to consumers. This is especially due to the expanding numbers of patients that have affected the normal functioning of the hospital system. Starting with the improvement of the emergency department, GGH has focused on the practices that would accommodate the increasing demands for medical services. The lean methodology is one of the implementations that aimed at reducing wastage within the system, in order to create value for the services offered.

The computer science instructor at Crescent View High School asked you to visit his class and give a presentation about project management. You have just a few days to prepare, and you need to develop a presentation that describes project management tools and techniques. You can be creative, and you might want to include examples of actual projects that you know about. In any case, try to describe how projects are planned, scheduled, monitored, and reported upon. Your presentation should consist of five to seven slides with notes about what you are going to talk about that include the following:

The principle reason that motivated me to pursue the MSc Project Management course is the appeal and challenge Project Managers experience in delivering assignments they undertake in their career. The qualification, indeed, lead to very smart and modern careers for graduates who love challenges, creativity, leadership and success. As a graduate of Mathematics, I have cultivated these features in my student life. Now, for my master level of study, I would like to take my chance of attaining formal skills in the area of project management. From my research, I see that Project Management is the application of skills, knowledge and techniques to meet the objectives of a project and stake holder’s expectations.
