IS VEGETARIAN FOOD IS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN HEALTH ABSTRACT In the modern life, people become increasingly more health conscious. They not only care about delicious food but also balanced and moderate eating. This has contributed to a high occurrence of vegetarians. However, human beings do not need to eat meat in order to maintain good health because they can get all their food needs from vegetarian products and vegetarian substances and a vegetarian diet is as healthy as a diet containing meat. INTRODUCTION The term “vegetarian” is used to describe any diet that emphasizes the consumption of plant foods and discourages the consumption of animal foods.
Standards vary worldwide; however, organic farming in general, features practices that strive to foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. Organizations regulating organic products may choose to restrict the use of certain pesticides and fertilizers in farming. In general, organic foods are also usually not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents or synthetic food additives. 1.3. BENEFITS OF ORGANIC FOOD Organic foods provide a variety of benefits.
There is one difference in the making of organic food; that is, the chemicals etc. being used in the traditional foods, but not in organics, but then those chemicals used in the traditional foods are said to be safe for human health. People are beginning to realize as the demand for food has increased with the population growth, so has the use of chemicals fertilizers antibiotics and hormones by farmers and livestock growers. People are beginning to believe that the only way to have a healthy life is by eating foods that are free of toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, synthetic hormones or antibiotics.

Some people believe that humans evolved to meat, and people should continue to eat meat because our ancestors did.
Several studies and nutritional experts don’t agree on whether a vegan diet is healthier than balanced diet that includes meat and other animal products. This simply does not mean that being vegan is a bad choice, but it means that one needs to be aware of the disadvantages of being vegan and work to minimise them in order to enjoy a nutritionally sound diet. I personally feel that one should consume both animal products as well as plant-based products in the diet since there is plenty of evidence in favour of this.
