Locker Searches Are Very Effective. Since drugs and weapons have been invented people have always found ways to defy their personal purpose. An example is how people are smuggling illegal drugs such as marijuana into the United States. Another example is how weapons are not being used for war or crime but they are being used to murder tons and tons of innocent people, such as the 911 bombings which killed 2,996 innocent people. Of course, these terrorist attacks and drug smuggling are usually hard to stop, but there are some people that are not pros and get caught and a way to catch this is to conduct random locker searches. In Detroit, one random locker search was conducted and the police found six boys smuggling drugs, weapons, and so much more unwanted things. THINK of how many lives that saved and this is why the United States Of America needs to wake up and conduct these locker searches to catch any unwanted items from being used in a bad way.
Illegal drugs for anyone are just plain out awful for the human mind and body, so we as a community need to stop the spread of drugs IMMEDIATELY!! Drugs are spreading faster than ever and this must be stopped!! Hiv is caused 10% due to drug injection and by stopping drugs we can stop

Now jumping into reality this needs to be prevented and by doing so we need better gun control and we need to just find and eliminate people with bad means and people who are not qualified. Murders with weapons are going up a lot and a recent study is that in 2013 100 thousand people were killed from a sort of gun. Innocent people are dying and how can parents live with a thought that my child might be murdered by a gun today. In conclusion, this must be stopped!! Murders on innocent people are just deceiving even to think about how someone would do such a thing. As a nation, we need to wake up, stand up, and take action right this
Gun Control and Mass Shootings in America Gun violence is an unquestionable issue in America, with the United States ranking as one of the worst with both homicides and suicides using guns. That being said, we outnumber Mexico in gun related deaths and among first-world countries we rank far above others in the number of gun deaths, such as England and Australia. Consequently, we live in one of the only first world countries that does not have extensive gun laws and restrictions to gun access. Aside from the countless homicides and suicides by firearm in this country, one particular issue within this predicament is mass shootings, with the most recent mass shooting occurring on February 14th, 2018 at a high school in Parkland, Florida where 17 people were killed. Although, it may seem like an easy fix to just implement gun control laws into our society to eliminate gun violence, but it is important to note that Americans own nearly half of all firearms globally, which is roughly 325 million guns;
Even though some people may disagree, random locker searches should be an issue that is enforced. Parents do not want their children in danger to due to some adolescents. Drugs and guns could be secluded and then there could be a prodigious chance of somebody getting hurt. Having drugs at school is restricted and dangerous. It is dangerous because somebody could use some, go crazy, and hurt people.
Illicit drugs are drugs that have been considered illegal, such as, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana, in some locations (Levinthal, 2016). Legislating drugs began around 1900. In essence, the government let society govern the use and opinions of drugs. Most of society looked down upon the nonmedical use of drugs.
I think random locker searches is a good thing. Because if you bring a gun to school and plan to kill someone that is not the right thing to do. You need to tell a teacher or an adult who you trust. Things you would find is stuff like drugs, guns, alcohol, and steroids if you are a sports player. There was an accident in florida at one of our schools that a 8th grader brought a 1911 stainless steel colt 45 and massacred over 100 staff and students.
This resulted in an increase by 183% of shootings and by 239% of deaths by guns. Obviously, this is a problem, that both puts people’s lives at risk and makes some live in fear. First, the number of shootings is completely intolerable. Many innocent people die due to gun shootings.
Whether its accidental or on purpose something has to be done to make sure guns are being used the way they are suppose to be used. Opening I would like to say that there should be stricter rules when dealing with guns. I’m tired of having to turn on the television and seeing a innocent life taken away by a gun purchased by a teen. For example, the school shootings have been very hard to watch and look at. Every time I hear or see one I get very choked up inside.
Many accidental deaths happen each year by guns in the hands of people who do not know gun safety. People are concerned that the amount of guns available have allowed gun violence to run rampant throughout the United States. An estimation of the amount of people in the U.S. shot each year is staggering, “The Brady Campaign to Prevent Violence estimates that around 144,994 people are shot each year in the U.S.” (8 Facts). This data shows that thousands each year are shot in the United States, which includes the deaths of those killed each year. According to the supporters of more age restrictions, the new laws will take some of the guns off the streets and decrease the amount of gun
‘’Guns are responsible for over thirty-three thousand deaths in the United States annually, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).. In 2014, the CDC reported that 11,008 of the 15,872 homicides committed in the United States that year involved a firearm. Of the 42,826 suicides reported that year, 21,386 involved a firearm. These statistics have inspired efforts at the federal and state levels to enact gun control legislation to reduce crime and violence’’(‘’Gun Control’’). According to the statistic guns are held for over 33,000 deaths in the United States.
School shootings are starting to become a norm in today 's world. This is something we can only take precautions for but, we cannot completely stop school shootings from happening. Banning guns is not the option because the shooters are still going to find a way to get their guns. We should not punish everybody for the stupidity of some people 's actions. "At Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado two teens went on a shooting spree on April 20, 1999, killing 13 people and wounding more than 20 others before turning their guns on themselves and committing suicide" (Columbine Shooting, 2018).
The problem with gun violence in schools has existed for years, and something should be done to eliminate the problem that endangers students who attend schools every day. One recent incident with gun violence in schools occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School where several young children were killed and many others injured (Elliott 529). Also, a bombing incident in 1927 killed thirty-seven children and was likely the start of school gun violence (Elliott 529). Children, who attend schools, sometimes do not feel safe because of the problem with gun
On, February 14, 2018, a mass school shooting in Florida got the nation’s attention, however, gun violence has always been an issue, and it is only getting worse. Now people are saying there needs to be something done, and there are many that agree. Starting off there should be stricter gun laws, because in today’s world it is too easy to get handguns and assault rifles. With, the capabilities a firearm holds, such as taking people’s lives there must be stricter restrictions that could help cut down the gun violence and save lives. Increasing the age of purchasing a firearm would be one step.
There is an estimation that about half of the households in the United States owns at least one gun. As such many people can have access to guns, including children and other family members. Many school based attacks involve young people carrying guns owned by their parents and going on a rage through schools and other places. Similarly, the ease of acquiring guns has led to vulnerable deaths of people across the country. Moreover, this leads obsessed people to escape their frustrations on minorities by murdering and threatening them.
Aren’t you tired of hearing on the news that someone has died behind a gun incident. Eighty eight point eight per one-hundred people or about two hundred seventy million guns which is highest total per capita number in the world. Twenty-two percent of Americans own one or more guns thirty percent men and twelve percent women. Gun control needs to be more improved in order to save lives. I think that they should be stricter because people think that laws do not need to be stricter because that means more trouble if someone tries to defend themselves.
A locker is the perfect size for a small concealable weapon or firearm. Thanks to random searches being performed in schools across the United States, a bounteous number of
The number of incidents of gun violence last year in the United States was about 60,000. In recent years, the number of mass shooting has risen to about one mass shooting per day in the United States. The country is divided with some wanting to reevaluate our gun control laws and either ban or add additional regulations to the purchase of guns. Others say it is our right for Americans to own guns and something the founding fathers considered important to put in the Bill of Rights. The number of firearm sales has risen with the number of mass shooting many Americans question if banning guns or certain guns could help decrease the number of gun violence deaths.
