I think that the Middle ages were not a golden age OR the dark ages. I think this for multiple reasons. To start off, there are many civilizations during the middles ages. All of these civilizations began and ended at different times and they all had different ideas and people. During medieval Europe, there was a lack of culture and literature but the Ancient Greek and Roman civilization were way head on technology back then. Next, there were lots of good things that happened and then there were lots of things that weren’t successful. It was different with every civilization. Also, people had different opinions about this question. Some say that the Middle ages were a Golden Era whereas others might disagree and say it was a Dark Age.
