The Deferred Action for Parents of Americans is an executive action President Barack Obama plans on implementing in order to try and control illegal immigration. Its main goal is to deport illegal immigrants back to their home country who have a criminal history while providing those with a clean record an opportunity “to temporarily stay in the U.S. without fear of deportation” (). A way to be more conducive to an effective change in immigration policies would be to change the acceptance date to January 1st, 2000. DAPA, or also known as the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans, is an initiative requested by President Barack Obama that “would provide approximately 5 million illegal aliens access to work permits and social security cards”

As a society we need to accept that it is up to our generation to fix this issue. Reforming Social Security will benefit everyone living in the U.S. in the long run. Restoring Social Security to its once former glory is a necessity to benefit our further generations and to create a better future for the next generation of workers. In order to accomplish this lofty goal I propose that we increase the payroll tax cap to boost Social Security’s funding and reduce benefits for the higher income earners who do not need Social Security as much as others do. The majority of Social Security’s income originates from the Social Security payroll tax.

The Fair Sentencing Act (FSA) is an act initiated by Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin, and passed by Congress, to become law on August 3, 2010 (Phillips 2012 ). The FSA intent is to reduce the gap between the amount of crack cocaine and powder cocaine needed to initiate federal criminal penalties from a 100:1 weight ratio to an 18:1 weight ratio. The FSA also eliminates the five-year mandatory minimum sentence for the possession of crack cocaine (Reid 2012). The FSA replaced the controversial Anti-Drug Abuse Act (ADAA) of 1986, that was seen as a racially bias, expensive, and unfair legislation from the Reagan Administration 's “War on Drugs” from the mid 1980s ().

As a result, Paychex is withholding funds designated of the payment of taxes. First, if Paychex does not release the funds immediately, it will be deemed a breach of the agreement between Paychex and Earth First Recycling.

It also established new vice-admiralty courts in America to try accused smugglers which cut them off from sympathetic local juries. The Currency Act of 1764 required colonists to stop printing paper money. The Stamp Act of 1765 was where all printed documents were required to have a stamp.
Ratify the Constitution The state of New York should adopt the proposed constitution. Now in 1788, eight states have approved to ratify the Constitution of the United States. While this seems to be a successful effort there need to be at least nine states to approve ratification. If any other state that has not already decided approves ratification then the Constitution will be ratified, but the remaining states must still decide.
