Carbohydrates are things found in our food and they are one of the most important nutrients. Carbohydrates are things mainly sugar and starch. It has the elements carbon, hydrogen and oxygen and the ratio is hydrogen 4: oxygen 2: carbon 2. Carbohydrates store the energy and provide the energy. It is also necessary for fat oxidation, without carbohydrates, fats would turn into ketones and that’s bad for our bodies. The main foods that contains carbohydrates are grain products such as breads, cereals, pasta, and rice as well as fruits and vegetables.

Mainly, proteins come from plant and animal products for example: meat, fish, poultry, milk, cheese and eggs and vegetable sources beans,, dried peas, nuts and seeds.
3. Minerals There are many types of minerals we tend to take into our body everyday, every single one of then have a unique effects and functions to our body.
Minerals like sodium can allow us to keep the amount of water volume outside of the cells in our body to let cells to function normally. The mineral of potassium controls the water amount inside and outside of cells and stop the excess rise of blood pressure when sodium is taken too much into your body.
Minerals are the elements the form in the ground, mostly we get it from the bottled water we drink, that can help body function for example iron is needed to support the function of red blood cells to transport oxygen. 3. To stay healthy There are lots of reactions taking place in the cells of your body to keep you healthy and keep your body working. Certain chemicals are needed for these reactions which can only be taken in from the food you eat.
Why does our body need food? Without proper nutrition, your body can’t survive. When you eat a balanced diet, your body obtains the fuel and nutrients it needs to accomplish various bodily tasks. For example, your body needs minerals to make hormones, build bones and control your heartbeat. Examples of minerals include calcium, sodium, potassium, iron, iodine, fat and copper. Water is another essential component of your diet. Without it, your body can’t flush out toxins, transport nutrients to cells or perform other necessary bodily processes.
