There 're several factors that directly impact the consumer behavior and affect their purchasing decisions, these factors may be cultural, social, economical, personal and psychological factors. However, this assignment mainly pays a particular attention to the psychological aspect and how does it play an important role on the consumers ' purchases and decisions. Consumers can be motivated to buy a certain product either by their internal desires or the outer pressure. The needs, taste and the preference all these differ among the consumers based on their selves-concept. Different consumers may have different thought on a particular product or service and that 's known as the consumers ' perceptions, the person 's beliefs, attitude and previous experiences also have a significate influence on his perception and may affect his purchasing behavior. Moreover, the peer pressure from friends and family and also the subliminal advertisements have the power to change the person 's perception and affect his purchasing behavior. Therefore, to understand the role of all these psychological factors in affecting the consumer behavior, I recorded what I 'd bought the last week, when and from where I got the products. According to my behavior and attitude in the previous week and especially when I bought my Nike sneaker it was oblivious that I made my decision based on my own perception and the way that I identified my needs. Also, from my experiences and after trying many other brands such as Adidas and New Balance I 'd learned that Nike 's shoes are better than the others and more fashionable. Furthermore, I have a strong belief that Nike offers a wide range of high quality sport clothes and shoes comparing to other sport brands and that makes me tend to choose Nike products over other brands.
