Hello, first off I would like to introduce myself I am Kaylea, and I would like to go to UW to continue my study in psychology. I have realized while growing up that there are a lot of people who go un-helped, Labeled, and unnoticed. People who are homeless, low class income, or just missed might actually need help and aren’t getting it. I want to be the person who helps. Although my life has been ups and down quite literally I’ve managed to pull through, and I want to help others pull through also. Although I’m trying to study psychology I really love space also. I love reading and seeing new scientific things that come on the news. However, from elementary until the beginning of high school I wasn’t reading at my grade level and once I was in high school I finally reached my level, and my math level went down. Now I can do both at I high enough level to understand the new things I’m learning. …show more content…

Now after taking some of abnormal psychology I think I might want to look more into that aspect of psychology. While I was in middle school my friend and I used to walk up the hill on the far side of our school and help the people at the food bank distribute food to the families, and to help them count how many families they could give to. Fortunately, I have never been in that situation, but I know many of people that have including my mom and my brother before I was born. After that I tried to work with the big brother big sister program, but in high school I wasn’t old enough yet. This year the summer between Tacoma community college and UW if I get accepted I plan to try and help out at a homeless shelter or a psych ward to see if I would like to work
