Similarly, I would like to serve as a resource to university administration. Having recently been through the same stages in education, current students like me are ideally placed to provide support and guidance to young people at this critical time in their education. I would love to share my stories and experiences with them and listen to and understand them. I believe that I possess many of the qualities that you are looking for in a student ambassador and I will prove to be an asset for the
I can contribute my willingness to never give up and persistent attitude. Playing sports and being cut from the team a lot gave me this skill and I plan to spread my hard work across the campus. Whether I end up in the Honors College or just attending Ball State, I will make a
If I become accepted into the program, I do not intend on quitting. I will be fully committed to taking whatever Honors courses I am required to take. When in Honors classes, I will be willing to accept any task offered to me. I am committed to learning about a wide variety of topics and developing new skills to better my future. I am very passionate about receiving a good education, and I know
Her rectitude taught me to take the initiative in my education and in my community. By being accepted into The PCTI chapter of the National Honor Society, I hope to further my education while also developing my character and defining what exactly it is I wish to accomplish in life. I hope having other like minded, self driven peers and mentors surrounding me will push me to reach my potential while I aid them in doing the same. The National Honor Society is more than just another accolade to me.
The interaction between my core values and what I want to gain through education needs to be harmonious. Essentially, what I hope to accomplish in my educational career is to gain a sense of an interconnectedness between the world, its inhabitants, and how they interact with one another. In order to accomplish this all-encompassing goal, I plan to continue my education so I can earn a Master’s degree in Anthropology after completing my Bachelors in the same field. Understanding the shape of our world through humanity is the essence of my educational identity. Additionally, I have created more goals that I hope will make this educational identity multidimensional.
All of this will be accomplished by first passing all my courses here at heritage and one think will lead to the next as if we were to play follow the leader. Also I hope to meet new friends here at Heritage and out in the work field. There has been one good friend that I’ve known on my journey here at Heritage and her name is Vanessa Ochoa, I can say we are two peas in a pod because we are always together at school and it’s great that she is also in the social work program.
I want to enroll in Pre-AP English because I think it could help me in several of ways. This can help attain my goals because it helps me receive a higher gpa. I plan to contribute to Maricopa High School community by joining student council, if I join student council I would be involved in more things and can help at any events, I am committed to go above and beyond and I am self-motivated to do anything necessary. Skills that I have that are essential for advanced placement include someone who will try their best every day, someone who will go above and beyond in completing their assignments and are respectful and responsible.
Just as with many of my previous academic moments it continued the drive I had already had. While my education continued to teach me valuable lessons and give me hands on experience I began to gain a stronger sense rooted in development and the protection of others by hopefully continuing my education at Loyola University Chicago in the Masters of Social Work/Masters of Arts in Social Justice Program which would give me the opportunity to not only eventually become a social worker with the Department of Social Services (DSS), with a school, or a guardian ad litem but to do that work effectively with the chance that would be afforded to me of an academic background steeped in social work as well as social justice teachings. This program in particular continues the undergraduate work and furthers my education on my path to my
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
I learned to use my mesosystem of the interactions between my peers and school to aid my development and allow me to end up in the successful place that I am today. I used the example my family gave me to develop my moral strengths. I created my own ideas and my own morals based on the cognitive and emotional challenges that my home life created. I used school as an outlet in order to aid my cognitive development. My constant access to school helps to prove the Neo-Piagetian Cognitive Development theory.
I want to help the black community excel and the study of sociology encompases the study of race and ethnic relations and the patterns within different ethnic communities to give me the skills to do so. Having this knowledge will help me be a successful and articulate in my profession. Not only would my work inside Howard’s classrooms help me to achieve my goal of becoming an activist, but Howard’s student life and the surrounding D.C. area would offer me a community of support and unity. An HBCU environment is ideal for my education and personal growth because of the professional career I plan to have and because of the the like-minded individuals that strive for and support social justice for the black
Upward Bound has taught me so many valuable lessons and how to manage my time wisely. The people that helped me at school and club have made me want to further my education and come back with a college degree. Mr.Hardeman showing me what hard work can do for you and pursue your goals. This is why I want to further my schooling and make all of these people proud and show them that accomplish everything they believe I can
I would like to be apart of ASB because I’m interested in helping Medea be the best school it can be. I always like to learn new things and I will appreciate new experiences learning from seventh and eighth graders. I am responsible and I am excited for my leadership skills to be tested. Also, I will gain more responsibility and learn more leadership skills throughout my time in ASB. As part of ASB, I will be able to work with other students who have similar interests and want to be fellow leaders at Medea.
Asking for help is essential to my growth as a student. For this class, guidance will be sought after through labs, in addition, to asking peers who are experienced to proof read my papers. Through this college experience, it will challenge me to become a more ambitious and determined person. I feel blessed to have this opportunity to start
The 1977 film Close Encounters of the Third Kind is a wonderful example of the cumulation of the various topics that have been discussed throughout class thus-far creating an interesting science fiction story though the manipulation of cinematic forms. From the very basic ideas of creating a world for the film to take place in to more complex motifs that reoccur throughout the film, these elements build upon themselves creating a central theme of mystic, human curiosity, and wonder about the unknown. From the opening of the film, we are told that the film takes place in “present day”, although this may have served some meaning when the film was released in 1977, watching 40 year later we should take this into account; but how did we conclude
