People are always focused on being the creator; they invent amazing innovations, but no one knows how to apply them. Rather than create an unusable, new technology, I’d like to focus on creating new purposes for the technology. Often the simplest solutions are the most brilliant. To think of the way to utilize and advance what is at hand is the challenge. My interest in technology was sparked by my own curiosity and fascination; since the 6th grade I would always check Yahoo News’s Science and Technology tab, taking my newfound knowledge of amazing new advancements and sharing it with my family at the dinner table.
Using technology on a daily basis can improve our skills for our future jobs. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, “More than 50% of today’s jobs require some degree of technology skills, experts say that percentage will increase to 77% in the next decade”
Living in the technology age our constant need for technology and the internet has changed everything about a person’s daily life. Technology has replaced the ability for deep, meaningful thought and even the need for face-to-face human interaction. Today people don’t have to put in a lot of work in order to find information they are looking for. They can find it easily at the touch of their fingers on the internet. They can even have relationships on the internet.
In their essay “Should everyone Go to College,” Stephanie Owen and Isabel Sawhill exemplify that despite popular belief, college does not always benefit all individuals who attend. With tuition on the rise, many students are in debt before they have even decided their major or career path. This is because in today society one feels compelled or pushed to go to college in order to be successful in finding a well-paying job. Owen and Sawhill’s explain the importance of planning in their essay stating, “We emphasize that a 17- or 18-year-old deciding whether and where to go to college should carefully consider his or her own likely path of education and career before committing a considerable amount of time and money to that degree” (Owen, Sawhill
My interests in technology did not come until later in my life; when I attended my first engineering and technology workshop. Back in the summer of 2012 I was accepted into the Rowan University’s Boys Engineering, Science, and Technology (BEST) Program. Throughout the event I was in awe and fascinated by what engineering had to offer. We built bottle rockets and constructed penny bridges, but what stood out to me the most was the hands on experience with computer programming.
Synthesis Essay New technological advancements are assisting people in their everyday lives, and the future for technology looks bright. But, alas, that which glitters is not always gold. Christian Lange once stated that “Technology is a useful servant, but a dangerous master” (Christian Lange). Society is becoming more and more reliant on technology, but there may come a time in which people solely rely on it to function.
Technology has always been progressing thus it is rampant in our society today. We use technology; depend on technology in our daily life and our needs and demands for technology keep on rising (Ramey, 2012). Wherever you look, you will see people holding different kinds of technology like cell phone, laptop, tablets and etc. It appears to most of us that technology is a necessity to the point where we can no longer live without it. According to Gavin (2013), technology moves at a rapid pace, and can be hard to keep up with at times.

My whole life has been a multi-faceted learning curve which has prepared me to take the academic challenges of the graduate life.
Technology and new innovations are welcome in the society of the twenty-first century. Technology is advancing every year, and it is being integrated into everyone’s daily life. Technology like smartphones, computers, smartwatches, smart glasses, smart tv’s, and game consoles are being incorporated into people’s homes, jobs, education, transportation, and medicine. Technology makes it easier for people to communicate effortlessly over long distances. People have the ability to search for an abundance of information at their fingertips.
Technology is a constantly evolving industry, but with evolution requires understanding of its fundamentals. In the modern era, a mass majority of the population spends countless hours staring at a computer or smartphone screen with little to no grasp on how it actually functions. Characters and industry experts in the Robert Harris novel, Enigma, Steve Lohr’s New York Times article “Where Non-Techies Can Get With Programming” , and the Natasha Singer New York Times article “How Silicon Valley Pushed Coding Into American Classrooms” voiced their unique opinions on why knowing basic computer coding languages are so important. Everyone should have access to computer science education.
