Statement of Purpose
The quest of knowledge has always been my raison d’etre. Among other things, the very fact that man could communicate with another man using sand and over waves has always intrigued me. Every time I looked at a computer terminal I wondered how those letters that are printed on a keyboard when typed could transmit information that was read, understood and processed by the system. I always wondered what could be the use of that contraption that lay beside the monitor people called CPU. It is this curiosity to understand the internal functioning of this device that led me to take up Computer Science as a major in Bachelors among other disciplines.

My desire to pursue higher education has never been dictated by pecuniary interests. Education for me was never about attaining a degree, procure a job, make big fortune and perish into obscurity. I want to contribute in whatever way possible to the field of computer science. My grades in Bachelors may look pedestrian but I know that I have the willingness and the ability to do further research in this field of Computer Science. I have seen both the best and the worst that life can offer. To err is human and I have made my fair share of mistakes in life which includes getting arrears in 3 papers in 4th semester. It was the very nadir of my academic life as I had never tasted failure before and was indeed a very humbling experience. But, I took heart from my failure and with all humility worked hard not just to score but to develop my concepts. Since, I am working in the Telecom domain, I understand how IOT or Internet of Things is going to revolutionise the world of tomorrow. It is touted as the next major revolution in the field of communication. The IT industry is itself going through a major upheaval where manual processes are being replaced with automated processes. Working as a DevOps engineer, I have the privilege to not only witness this transition but also contribute towards it.
