From what I have learned, the purpose of BLM was to provide black people with environmental justice and environmental privileges. BLM executes as political mediator and a movement against the society where people of color were brutalized. Environmental justice intrudes as a corollary of movement (like BLM) inaugurated by people of color, people of indigenous communities. The Black Lives Matter works to advocate and uplift the lives of black people. Black and Brown bodies are, in the eyes of the state and its constituent legal system, generally viewed as criminal, deficient, threatening (Pellow, 10).
