Jaimee sanford In the story, The girl who was born with only two arms and two legs by Stuart baum I believe Quarta has a strong heart,I believe this because she is brave, lonely, and different. These are the reasons I think Quarta has a strong heart. I think quarta is brave, For instance in the story Quarta even when she was little has been teased and tormented her whole life and hasn’t given up so, she has been brave enough to keep going. Another example that she is brave (a little bit different kind of brave) is when she climbed to the edge of the rock to save kako from potentially getting hurt in the tidal pool. Lastly I think she is brave because she got “popular” and “not popular” kids to join together to play “one ball” and
With the changes seen in the economy, war & leaders, the Glorious Revolution of 1688 can be considered a part of the Enlightenment. Evidence shown through historical documents proves this stance. Although some historical events during the Glorious Revolution refute my stance, the Glorious Revolution was indeed a part of the Enlightenment because of the major shifts England had during and after this time period: Influencers, Religious tolerance and changes in governmental policies. Stated in the English Bill of Rights which were passed by Parliament and ratified by William III-King of England. “That the pretended power of suspending the laws or the execution of laws by royal authority without consent of Parliament is illegal”(Doc.3)
Mansa Musa set off on his hajj and traveled thousands of miles through deserts, and strange cities to get to Mecca. Although this was a very religious journey, was this pilgrimage really all for religious purposes? Religion may have been a large motivating factor for this trip, but Mansa Musa did not journey on his hajj just for religious purposes. There were many other motivating factors for why Mansa Musa took this journey. Some motives were to set up better trade for the future, and gain popularity for his kingdom Mali and himself.
This was a brave action because she could've easily been caught escaping and probably punish for it. April is brave throughout the book Don't Look Behind

After all, we use courage in our everyday lives. Whether it’s trying to solve that difficult math problem or moving into a new country, everyone has used courage at least once in their lives. Like earlier, The Souls and Mrs. Olinski are truly
It pushes her to exert a great amount of courage, determination, and faith.
Lina demonstrated courage in life changing situations at only the age of 15 and did a great job at it. For example,Lina displayed courage when she documented significant events by drawing, hoping these messages would end up in her father's hands, but at a great risk. Lina was aware that the consequences of her drawings being found could lead to death in reason of the NKVD not tolerating any sneaky behaviour, but she continued. Along with her headstrong personality Lina also displayed courage when standing up to a guard and screaming the words “I HATE YOU”. At the age of fifteen she had great fortitude to confront the authority that could borderline her life in a second if wanted.
Melba shows a great amount of courage in her memoir. The first time she shows courage is when she signs her name on a special paper. "When my teacher asked if anyone lived within the Central High School district wanted to attend school with white people, I raised my hand. As I signed my name on the paper they passed around, I thought about all those times I 'd gone past Central High," (Beals 19). This quote demonstrates true courage because she knows how attending Central High may be a downfall for her and her family since she will have to confront the racial slurs of the caucasian population, costing them agony and energy.

This demonstrates how Clover is brave because if she wasn’t brave when the girl asked for her name Clover would have ran away. The final example of Clover being brave is because Clover continued to talk to the girl. This means that Clover is brave because if she was not brave she would have left in fear. This proves that Clover is brave and she is a good person for that.
That, she said, is what builds self-confidence and courage" (page 2). I agree with this statement completely. Kids need to be able to take risks and feel danger. If kids never take risks, they won 't be very successful in life in general. To stand out, you need to take risks, and playing it safe doesn 't always work.
