One of these authorities is the fact that a number of scientific truths were mentioned in the Quran 1400 years ago. There are number of scientific miracles of Quran to 7th century when Quran was reveled the Arabs had many superstitious beliefs that the earth is flat the sky is supported by mountains. However, these beliefs were eliminated with the Quran. The astrophysics believe that the universe cause into existence as a result of great explosion. This event is known as “the big bang” this theory describes that the earth was created as a result of the explosion (Rajabnejad, n.d.).
Modern scientific circles agree that the big bang theory is the rational and provable explanation of the beginning of universe. Before that big bang there was no matter, energy. This fact was recently discovered by modern studies, was revealed in Quran.
1400 years ago, the sensitive sensor on board which was launched in 1992 revealed that universe was created from nothing. In Quran it was mentioned the universe expand but this fact was discovered was also proved in 1929 by an American astronomer that stars and galaxy are constantly moving away from each other (Quran, n.d.). There have been many Islamic achievements through time. Some of the most important Islamic achievements are having libraries, bookstores and schools. (Doc 2) Some others are art and calligraphy. (Doc. 6)
Al-Khwatizmi conducted an extensive study of Indian numerals, making him a certifiable expert on the subject, after which he wrote a well known algebra textbook. The basic math featured in Document 4 demonstrate the significance of this, as these principles are used by students from kindergarten to high school today. Another important aspect of Islam is the Quran, or the Islamic scripture. Because the Quran is the direct word of Allah, everything in Islamic society, including the law
During the Islamic Golden Age, science, economic development, and cultural works flourished in the Islamic world. As they spread to civilizations, such as Greece, Rome, and India, Muslims assimilated, advanced, and applied those cultures’ scholarships. They read books and built their knowledge to the point where they could make their own discoveries. They built a strong trading empire by using scientific instruments and the night sky to guide them, and they had access to plenty of resources and goods. These advancements affected numerous fields in their own society and, eventually, in European society.
It is important that we accept that religion is Man’s attempt to answer these questions and because it is an institution reliant upon faith, it is acceptable for one to accept Religion as a precursor for complex ideas, and interpret its fallacies as misunderstandings, however, it is unreasonable for one to justify the rejection of science to prevent controversy with the beliefs of religion. Furthermore, it is unreasonable for one to ever justify the rejection of science for any reason, as this praxis clouds the mind and decreases one’s capacity to comprehend the true nature of the universe and the governing laws to which it
The issue on whether religion and science can work together has been debatable for centuries. Neil DeGrasse Tyson in his article the Perimeter of Ignorance argues that science and religion cannot coexist. In his article, the author explains that religion is all about the Bible and the Bible primarily focuses on the explanation of the origin of the world. He puts forth the point that this concept is far different from what science is and that they do not complement each other. This essay intends to prove that religion and science can work together with no issues.
In Steven Shapin’s book, The Scientific Revolution, he described the massive scientific changes that occurred from the late 16th to the early 18th centuries. Shapin utilizes the scientists and their findings to demonstrate the changes that affected Western civilization. He describes his theory of the Scientific Revolution as he proves that the world has always had scientific advances. Steven Shapin states his thesis which influenced the modern world, that the Scientific Revolution did not happen during a single time period through the use of the three essential questions: What was known, How was it known, and What was the Knowledge for.
There is debate about whether Islam was forced into the lives of people or if it was cultural diffusion. Both force and cultural diffusion contributed in the spread of Islam. Cultural diffusion is the spread of cultural beliefs and social activities. The Qur’an is a book written while Muhammad was still alive and what he preached. The Qur’an attracts more people to practice Islam with the verse,”But the believers
During the 16th and 17th century areas that were forbidden before began to change. These were areas were humans were only entitled to know what God wanted to reveal, otherwise they were inaccessible or forbidden. The limits on the knowledge humans were able to possess became more accessible during the 16th and 17th centuries. The Reformation shows the decline of the Catholic Church and the rise of questioning authority leading to the Scientific Revolution. The Scientific Revolution showed that observations and conclusions became an acceptable source of knowledge and truth, where it had been less so in earlier times.
For the earth to revolve around the sun and rotate on its own axis there must have been an external force applied on it, which is likely to be God. For things to happen in the manner that they do, there has to be a Higher power that is above to “govern” us and our actions. Everything that exists does and always will have a cause whether we take the time to believe it or not. The universe exists, but how does it exist? By the grace of God.

These two historical but sacred pieces of writing also happen to show that there is an explicit conflict between religion and science. The Old Testament shows this as displaying the fact that a supernatural being created the natural world. According to Frederick Seller, this supernatural being acts “frequently to intervene in his creation, to make things act in contradiction to their natures.” The New Testament says that it is unscientific and that the world was created by a causally impossible events or miracles. Two examples of these miracles are Mary giving birth as a virgin and Jesus walking on water.
Historical knowledge and science provide a point where biblical and cultural stories collide (Goheen & Bartholomew, p. 130). Culture is communicated through common stories and events. Science or the human desire to explain what is seen can be identified within Greek mythology throughout history to the postmodern views of today. The Christian worldview provides a basis for belief in a creator, not dependent on human action continue existence (Goheen & Bartholomew, p. 23). Scientific exploration and discovery is a part of God’s creation.
The creation of the world is something that a lot of us don’t know about. In science tell us that the world born the Big Bang of dark energy. In the Bible and the Greek mythology tell us that the God is creator of it. The world’s creation of the Bible and the Greek mythology have a lot of things in similarities and a lot of things that are different.
That 's why there are different religion. Only a select few of people can understand science and laws of it. Religion is more logical than science in a way. While you can argue that people say creation was mistranslated in the bible. But you can say there is some misleads in science at all.
Creation is something people have different opinions about worldwide, this is a topic that has many different theories. There have been many different ideas that people have thought of in order to try to get people to think that it wasn’t God who created the earth. Almost always the new story got its ideas, based off the story of God’s creation of earth. Some of these crazy theories even try to show that humans were originally monkeys, before they were humans. God spent a lot of time and thought when he was creating the earth, and for people to deny it and not give God any thought is very sad.
