During this article, I will explain the difference between Bob and Teresa’s guiding beliefs, the influence of application those management strategies and bring up some motivation methods to scientists.
Principle Concept of Organic and Mechanistic Structure
Identify the guiding beliefs of Teresa and Bob is easier to evaluate and compare with their differences, pros and cons.
For Teresa's belief, she mentions that “breakthroughs and contribution to the society”, which is an organic structure. Burns, T. (1963). point out that “Organic structure is the most adaptive form

Compare the Application between Organic Structure and Mechanistic Structure in R&D Department
1. Performance in Dynamic Environment
Organic structure is higher flexibility than mechanistic structure. During the dynamic environment, the organic structure works best. Because of this structure can make the department to suit the changes and unpredictability in the environment as soon as possible. For example, the works are not rigid and can be changed as required.
On the other hand, the characteristics of mechanistic structure including fixed, inflexible and tightly controlled structure. So that there is no change in the working system and procedures, despite the change of social environment never stop. It is easy to see that the mechanistic structure cannot suit the changes and unpredictability in the dynamic environment as soon as possible.
2. Communication

For motivate the scientists, the organic structure also emphasizes on decentralized decision-making. It means the subordinates can suggestion their ideas in the decision-making process. We can listen to scientist’s comments, complaints and ideas to create a better working environment.
It is clear to see that adopt of organic organization structure is better than mechanistic organization structure under an R&D department.

Introduction A company’s success is measured by how well it is structured and organized in order to adapt to the changes in environment as well as the changes within itself such as the company’s scale, employees, product scope, etc. Having a suitable, well-structured organizational frame will not only increase the chance of being success but also prolong the company’s lifespan compared to an un-structured one. It is important to note that an organization’s structure needs to fit in with the current situation and does not necessarily required remain unchanged over time. Taking Dynacorp as an example, even though its functional structure contributed to the vast growth of the company at the start, its limitation in dealing with the changes within

Introduction Organizational Behavior is the field of study which investigates the impact that individuals, group and structures have on behavior within the organization. We are born in an organization, we live, we work and most probably we will die in an organization. Yet most of us do not understand how people function, behave and interact between each other within these organizations. We also do not understand if people shape an organization or an organization shapes people. Different people work differently in different situations.

Before I attend to this class, I think Organizational Behavior (OB) is a concept how behavior affects the management, leadership and relationship among people in an organization resulting from the meaning of OB word by word. Nevertheless, this assumption was changed after I attend the Organizational Behavior class, which has the subject code BUS 314 thanks to my lecturer- Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoang, who put huge efforts to inspire me to learn this subject. At the beginning of this course, he drew an overview of Organizational Behavior, is a field of study that explores the impact of three determinants: individual, groups and structure of an organization.
