My short-term goal is to complete my bachelor’s degree. I want to do well in all my undergraduate courses and gain as much knowledge as I can. Another short-term goal is to get a job working with patients. I want to work with patients so that I can begin gaining experience with direct-patient care which is a requirement for PA school. My long-term goal is to apply to PA school.
I came to Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) after transferring from Gallaudet University. I found that what I was required to take a pre-course before taking the real credit courses at TNCC called English Fundamentals 1. So, I took the class that my counselor and my interpreter, who worked in 25 years at TNCC, recommended me to meet Ms. Dubbé. This semester I have improved my reading and writing skills. I am a better student because I have learned effective strategies and pondered over my future goals.

Apportionment Research Paper Over the course of the semester, I learned about numerous topics in this math class. All the areas studied showed to be useful in everyday life. From studying sets to studying fractals, I am able to see where these concepts can be applied. One particular lesson that I enjoyed was learning about voting systems, specifically the apportionment method.
Reflecting back on my Initial Reflection I wrote at the beginning of Writing 122, one area that I wanted to work on was being able to master all the parts in an enthymemic style essay. After 4 more essays, I believe that I can write a beautiful essay incorporating all parts of an enthymemic style essay. Through this class, I’ve developed my skills in argumentation and learned how to better introduce paragraphs. When writing my next piece, I will try to be more conscious about all the little things that need to be done to really make a good essay. I have a good grip on the basics but mastering the little things will still require some practice.
Several events in my life have shaped me to become the student and person I am today. Education is a valuable treasure, and with it you can do anything. Seeing how my parents struggle being immigrants has made me realize how lucky I am to have access to an education and sources to help me pay for college. I have not let any of my struggles surpass achieving my dreams in addition to becoming
Through the financial plan I follow, conversations with counselors, scholarships, and my hard work in school and work I have chipped away at college expenses. As a Dupaco member for all my life, I ask for this assistance as a way to fulfill the lesson the video talked about, preparing for college! The price of college seems insurmountable, but by taking initiative it can be greatly
I continued to come prepared to class. I’d always have a Chromebook, a notebook, and a writing utensil on me, along with any book that we were reading and a completed homework assignment. I strived to hold myself accountable and get all assignments done on-time using the time allotted to me. I also made myself responsible for my own success, by putting in more time that I ever have this year, whether it was going to the practice AP test on Saturday morning and getting things completed at home. I tried to focus on the quality of my work, getting it done a few days ahead of the due date
Hi Kacei, I too have my 401k and life insurance with fidelity, I also believe they are a great and trustful company. I have to agree with you about using a mutual fund company to manage our money, it is best to leave it to the professionals that have years of experience. I think they would do a way better job than me because this is all new to me and it can take me awhile to know the basic knowledge about investing in a mutual fund.
He said I should major in Business, like my mom. Or Medicine, like my aunt. Fields of study that actually could land me a decent paying job after college. And that’s why I really enjoyed Mark Edmundson’s article, because unlike my grandpa, he didn’t make me feel small. In a way, he validated my plans to major in English with a concentration in Creative Writing.
My teacher really has my fellow classmates and myself ready for reality. She taught us everything we needed to know from the simplest to the most difficult techniques and has us prepared us for college. From the way she would teach us and also the way she treated us was an excellent way to show how the real life of a college student really does face on a daily bases. I’ll leave the class by having the prior knowledge of knowing what and how to write an argumentative essay and know how to simply justify the reading side and confront my face my fierce. This year taught me so much that I use certain techniques to help me in other subjects.
