ACCEPTING ONESELF AND OTHERS

In today’s society my perception of our world is that racism still exists everywhere. I wonder all the time will this ever come to an end? The term race refers to the concept of dividing people into populations or groups on the basis of various sets of physical characteristics. Even though, discrimination can happen to anyone, I think that the black race gets bashed the most by other people. For example, a colored person would instantly get dislike by another race just by having a different appearance from theirs. Also, can we stop criticizing other people based on how they look and start treating everyone with respect? Can we not allow the negativity to access our minds? Can we accept who we are and be proud of it? In addition, me and everyone on this earth is a human being and would like to be treated as one. …show more content…

Many people, still to this day are having trouble being themselves, they are too busy trying to be someone that they are not. In other words, portraying to be a certain person other than their self. For instance, high school students, where some go through peer pressure just so they can be a part of a clique. Including, college students, the females that would do anything to get accepted in a sorority and the males that would do the same to be accepted as a fraternity. Sometimes people will put up an image in front of someone their trying to impress or prove themselves to. I don’t think anyone should put up a front just to be liked. I also, don’t think anyone should have to prove themselves to anyone. So what if they don’t like me, if that’s the case then so be it. I am not going to change who I am based on what people say, people are going to talk
