domineering, too outspoken (Wallace 215). Although it was hard to live in a world full of racism at the time, it was almost impossible to be an African woman before the 2000’s. Because of people like Michele, society was told the hard truth, forcing America as a whole to treat everyone with respect and equality. After looking at The Black Panther Party, Malcolm X, and Michele Wallace, I showed many incidents of powerful protesting or speaking. With these resilient individuals, the racial issues in America have been able to improve. It is hard to think what the U.S. would be like today, if it weren’t for influential people like the ones I noted.
