As I looked up the 26 story tower, I thought to myself, how I am going to do this? As I was gazing at the towering beast, my friends started to call me over.
“Hey, you coming?” I started to walk over to my friends in line.
I was at Kings Island with a couple of guys from Cross Country. A lot of the guys have been on the Drop Tower before, but for me, this was going to be my first time. While we were walking we made a mental note; if we are going to die, at least we are going to die having fun.
“Lets see how long it takes for the ride to drop,” says Calvin.
“Okay,” we agreed. We watched as the ride went slowly up the pole like a caterpillar going up a branch.
“One Mississippi… three Mississippi… five Mississippi… seven Mississippi.”
We watched

“Okay,” we said sarcastically to Derek.
We watched as the ride went up the pole again. Even I didn 't know if I could go it. My only motivation to go on the ride was bragging rights, and how amazing the view will be up there. As it started to fall, I realized that we were going to be falling at 60 mph. When it hit the bottom we could feel the wind hit us from the ride.
“Haha! Told you that the girl wouldn’t cry!” said Adam. She looked like she had her best time of her life, but her mom next to her looked like she was going to throw up.
As everyone started to get off and out of the ride, we were next. Someone came over and started to count us

We walked to our seats and strapped up. I could see Derek shaking a little bit as he buckled his seat. I laughed to myself to try to comfort myself that everything is going to be alright.
The moment has come. We felt a jerk in the ride and started to go up the pole. I gripped on the bar until my knuckles got white. As we went up the poll, I realized how much higher we were going then how it looked like on the ground. As we got higher and higher, the view of Kings Island grew more and more. Other than the fear of the ride, the atmosphere was really cool. I could see the whole scenery of Kings Island.
“Okay, let 's start the count up.” Calvin said.
“One...Three...Five...Seven.., Seven, Seven? Seven!” Calvin said
“Why is it not going do-.” Calvin got cut off by the roar of the ride as it zoomed down the pole. I felt my face as it scrunched up like a dog 's face would when it sticks its head out the window. It was a short time falling, but it was one of the scariest times.
As we hit the bottom, we all just froze. We sat in our seats and took the moment in. As we sat there, we looked at one another and just smiled and
Kevin beseeched. “Oh, okay fine, but we are only going to check it out.” dad said. “Yay! Let’s go!” Kevin cheered.
When he got to the very top of the descent up, the roller coaster started going really fast, he was screaming, but those screams were of fear, but also enjoyment of the thrill of the Gatekeeper, Conner was so thankful that he got on it, it was one of the greatest thrills that he´d ever witnessed and been a part of.
I smelled all of the amusement park food, and felt sick. The day was boiling hot, and when we buckled into the roller coaster, I heard the operator, who looked like he was sweating a river, say that this roller coaster was 62 years old. That just made me even more terrified. As we were waiting, and I was talking to my cousin, the operator suddenly pushed the button.
A sunny and warm morning, quiet in the school with what seems to be the ‘loudest class’ gone. Although quiet my energy was through the roof, I was eager to take down this roller coaster. This energy showed, people tried and half-awake yet I couldn’t contain myself. Throughout the entire ride there I hadn’t been calmed a bit- of course not until I finally saw what this rollercoaster had in store. Up and up until
When it was my turn, I hesitated to jump but I finally did. When I was in the air, I felt like I was flying as free as a bird. I held the two ropes tightly with my hands, but I liked the wind in my face. When I had to land on next tower, it was a bit worrying, but I landed safely.
This time I got to the top without incident. My eye had adjusted by then, and I could see the outline of the people around me. One object that stood out to me in the dark was Mason’s bright American flag hat. As we walked on the trail, we were quiet and took in the nature around us. The frogs croaked, the crickets chirped, and leaves crunched under our feet.
Life is a precious thing. The ability to walk on this earth is so divine that we humans take it for granted. We all take it for granted until we realize that we are not immortal. Everyone dies at some point and simply living infinitely is not a choice. However, we wish life was an eternal thing, for then we would have time to subjugate our fears and accomplish our dreams.
When I got on the ride it started moving and went round and round and when. I got off I was very dizzy, so we went on, and went to ride another ride, but I don’t remember what it was called. But it went up and down upside down and it was just crazy. So I kept riding that same ride and kept riding it for most of the day. And then I just went walking around the park for a little bit.
and he went to King’s Island he would not budge from the center of the platform at the top of the Eifel Tower and she would try to convince him to walk out to the edge. That may have been what she told me, but what I saw at the Space Needle may prove her wrong. As everyone was walking around looking down at the porcelain model of Gatlinburg, she was shivering and jittery near the elevator and would not come to the edge for any reason. After seeing this my step-father left the comfort of a bench near the center of the platform and walked right up to me at the edge of the platform and enjoyed the view alongside me, though his scruffy goatee twitched slightly with
“Okay,” she began. “Me, you, uncle D.J., auntie Tiffany, and their two kids are going to Six Flags!” I was so happy, I felt like a dog who just got a new, big bone for Christmas. But then grief struck me: Six Flags has roller coasters, and I’m afraid of those things. But instead of telling this to
Also,we went to the restroom, bought some food passes got and some maps. Then it was the fun part, so I thought. What we didn’t realize is that the line for the Top Thrill Dragster was 2 ½ hours! Therefor, my mom left the line at about two hours into it. But my dad, sister and I fought through the burning sun and heat.
As we slowly took steps over to our seats my fight or flight instinct kicked in. Should I have just run straight out the exit? The next thing I knew I was sitting in the heavily secured seat, getting strapped in and ready for lift-off. The seat hugged my body just as a boa constrictor does to its prey in the wild. The ride was now all set to go.
As the clock struck 6:45 we were all ready to start a new adventure. As we drove into Disney, we could see Cinderella’s Castle. After we parked the car we rode on the people mover that took us to Magic Kingdom. As we entered the gates, we all were really eager. We could see everything that there was to do.
Awkward and clumsy. This is how 10 year old me was described. Afraid of heights, failing and falling and here I was, standing on a high balance board, staring into a deep foam pit. When my aunt, Nadine, a gymnast teacher came for a visit, I should have expected that she would want to go to a gym. Driving to the gym with my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin, I confessed that I didn 't know how to do a frontflip.
“WE’RE GOING DOWN!!!” gave the piercing cry of the flight attendant. I threw myself onto a chair like a lion on their prey. My hands were shaking so hard they felt like they were vibrating. I buckled the hard, leathery seatbelt watching out the window as we were diving down into the green abyss. My chocolate brown hair was flying everywhere in its long braid.
