Some people think the Confederate Flag is racist. Many people believe that the flag stands for an ugly time in our history because the flag was made during a time where people owned slaves and how the black people were unfairly treated. Many years have been passed on but till this day there are many emotions spreading just like wild fire. Another piece of evidence is that even in the year 2015, by displaying the flag everyone knows it means hostility, which means someone may not be showing an act of kindness which in this case it may offend many people due to its background history. So if the flag were to be displayed many people can take it to offense and may not show any respect of what this flag has done and is. As a result the Confederate flag shows many signs of disapproval and many signs of unkind emotions.

Furthermore, The Confederate Flag does not promote unity in the U.S. The Confederate soldiers were U.S citizens who took up arms against our government. These were individuals who killed American soldiers. They …show more content…

The Confederate Flag holds racial ties of racial injustice and extended far back to the time of the Civil War. Before and still there are still many people with wrong thinking of what the Confederate Flag actually connects to and what they want to believe. A final great example is that, Tiger Woods the first black person to play on a all whites golf field won the masters on April 13, 1997. This club did not allow black people to join neither play on the golf field until 1990. But on April 13, 1997 Tiger Woods became the world 's youngest African American to win the masters. This shows of how this club wouldn’t allow black people due to what the Confederate Flag did and showed them and what the history they had been taught by the flag to believe in.
