The one thing I would like to do after high school is become an LPN. The reason why I would like to do become an LPN is because I enjoy helping others. Knowing I can support people would make me happy. Taking shots, drawing blood, and taking vital signs would be interesting for me, I think I would enjoy that very much.
I have been able to work side-by-side with a Pathologists ' Assistant since day one and because of this, I fully understand their role in the medical society. I owe a lot of what I learned as a grossing technician to them because of their guidance, input, and examples. The more I asked them questions and the more I watched them work, the more captivated I became by their role and realized I wanted to be in their position. As a result, I believe that my close working relationship with the Pathologists ' and Pathologists ' Assistants, as well as the exposure and knowledge I have gained by working in the department will help me succeed, particularly in Loma Linda University 's Pathologists ' Assistant program.
Choosing a career in the medical field can very be overwhelming, there are a multitude of options. The job that is in demand the most is Registered Nurses. This degree, at the minimum, requires an associate’s degree. By the year 2020, all R.N.’s will need to have a BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing); Bachelor’s degree programs are 4-year programs. But don’t stop there, after 2-3 years of on the job experience, find what area you would like to specialize in, and go on and earn that Physician Assistant degree. Pediatrics is what I plan to specialize in. I have always been interested and fascinated with babies and toddlers. There will be many benefits to becoming a Physician Assistant that will outweigh the negatives of the additional academic workload.
The time spent on every medical operation may vary depending on what procedure will be done, the patient’s current health status and many other factors. Thus, a surgical technologist must be able to withstand working in a standing position for long, extended hours.
My career goal is to become a diagnostic medical sonographer, or an ultrasound technician. Each day as an ultrasound technician will bring new surprises. In the morning a sonographer could be conducting an OB/GYN ultrasound, helping an excited first-time mom see her fetus developing in her belly. Then, then in the next procedure your trying to calm an old woman as she waits to see if her tumors have grown. The days of a medical sonographer are never dull but are challenging, fast-paced, and rewarding. As a sonographer you have the opportunity to help all kinds of different people, from all walks of life, with all kinds of different problems.
The murder of Emmett Till was a big part of the Civil Rights. Back then it was easy for a white man to get away with doing things to colored people because only white people were on the jury. The way Till was murdered was such a horrible way to die. He got punished for doing something that he didn’t know was against the law.
The Questions one should ask is Who is taking care of your brain? As a Neurodiagnostic technician, I will have the ability to work with surgeons, physicians, researchers and educators to serve people. Being a Neurodiagnostic technician, I will have the ability to diagnose seizures and other neuroglial disorders. Furthermore, being a Neurodiagnostic technician, I will have the ability to detect how quickly the brain receives messages which are some cases can be vital for the patient. I want to be a Neurodiagnostic technician because the field helps to maintain the quality of life and in many cases, it helps saves lives. I love the quality time that a Neurodiagnostic technician can spend with the patient. I believe that having a good relationship with the patient is the most important objective when working in the health care field.
. Here is where I come in; graduating in 1998 from the title of a Medical Assistant II to State Certified, nurse and HHA nurse of 19 years.
The job responsibilities of an OB/GYN can go as little as prescribing medication for their patient, and as big as performing surgery on their patient. “A gynecologist is also responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of the female reproduction system disorders and diseases. They may become involved in the general healthcare of women related to topics such as nutrition or diseases that affect only women” (How to become a gynecologist). The job responsibilities of an OB/GYN is the patient. An OB/GYN first has to examine the patient to make sure everything is okay. If there are issues with the patient, the OB/GYN has to evaluate any diseases if any. If the patient needs treatments prescribed, the OB/GYN can prescribe them
My mission, or who I am as a radiographer, is to provide the highest standards of healthcare to my patients and their families resulting in healing spiritually, physically, and emotionally. The examinations is administered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. I will be eligible for two certifications, the Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). There are a few more certifications I can pick up after these but this is the standard certification upon entering a career in this field. My goal is to also get a few of the others but at a later date when it is easier to travel to the schools that offer the
Clinical medicine and science are inherently inseparable entities. Scientific advances and discoveries will perpetually influence any career in the medical profession. This was an idea I learned early on during my undergraduate education. However, my own interest in science spans further than using it as a means to an end. The process of developing theories and conducting experiments enthralls me. I not only strive to apply scientific findings to treat my future patients, but also hope to gain inspiration from my patients to advance scientific knowledge. I believe the ideal way to apply my interests, and to best serve my community, is as a physician-scientist. The MD Anderson 1st Year Medical Student Program would offer me the opportunities
Nicole Strong was traveling home one night from dinner and stops at a red light. The next thing that happens is a drunk driver runs the red light and hits her going 55 miles per hour. She had no apparent external injuries; however, Nicole was concerned that she might have internal injuries. Nicole says “I felt the left side of my body to begin to tingle and feel numb and it was at the point that a fear of the unknown overtook me”. She decides to go to the hospital and it is determined that she would need some x-rays. The radiographer, more commonly referred to as a radiology technician, explains to her what type of x-rays are necessary and informs her of what she will need to do during the procedure. The radiology technician does a CT scan and then reports back to Nicole the results that everything looks fine and there are no internal complications. Nicole explains how nice the technician was and how good she was treated (Strong 1). The radiology technician is very important to assist the
