Railroads are a very serious issue when driving, but commonly ignored. Many know that railroads are dangerous, but they only consider railroads dangerous if you are caught in the middle of one with a train coming towards you. It is dangerous to be in a situation where you are stuck in the middle of a railroad with a train bolting towards you, but there are ways to avoid this life threatening situation. Signs are a very important part to be safe when crossings are presented. Coming to a railroad crossing is not a sudden ‘surprise’, there are signs posted to indicate the crossing, usually there is a yellow, circular sign with a black X painted on the inside with two letter ‘Rs’ on the left and right side of the X. This is a warning sign to let the driver know that there is a railroad crossing ahead.

Do you prefer driving in the winter or the summer? Driving a car in the winter can be dangerous verses in the summer. Although the roads are the same, the weather has a major impact on driving conditions. When the summer sun begins to shine it can cause a possible car wreck if your eyes are not guarded using sun glasses. The summer sun can also have an impact on your skin while driving if you don’t take precaution.
Driving in the summer vs. driving in the winter is very different. In the summer you have the warm weather and a lot of people on the roads on the go. In the summer the weather is more forgiving then in the winter time less rain and more sunshine. Than in the winter you have to worry about the snow, sleet and most of the time both. You have to give yourself room to slow down and you have to worry about black ice.
Walking is an enjoyable and healthy activity, and providing you follow a few simple rules it’s also quite safe. Although most people take extra care as they walk along narrow country lanes, many are unaware that one of the most significant health threats to walkers is Lyme disease, a bacterial infection, which spreads to humans through the bite of an infected sheep tick. Ticks are tiny bloodsucking, arachnids which live in areas of dense vegetation, such as bracken, long grass or woodlands. These minute creatures attach themselves to the skin of both animals and humans to feed on their blood.
Research Question How an external force, in this case gravity, affects the acceleration of a trolley while on an inclined surface at different angles? An inclined surface essentially means that the surfaces angle is less than 1800. When the trolley is put on the top of this inclined surface we will measure the time taken by the car to reach the bottom and from that data we will find out the acceleration.
Hello Elisandra, Thank you for your comment! I agree with you. In the first section, he is standing on a railroad bridge, around his neck is a noose that is tied to a beam overhead. But, at that moment he looks down at the river and that is where we get to know that the man is being executed, right?
Do you think we need speed limits ? Speed Limits are needed because if they wasn’t then people would be driving crazy all over the roads and crazy . If speed limits was taken away then people would be driving 100 down a small back road when it should be 30. There would be so many recs and people walking getting hit. They would be going to fast to stop at a stop light or stop sign .
CJ Johnston Pd.3 In the book One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, author Ken Kesey, claimed to shed a light on human nature throughout the book. I think this light was, the combine is everywhere and you can’t escape it, he shows this through the fog and the symbolism of religion. If you apply this idea to your day to day life. We go to school monday-friday from 8-3:20 you don’t act out in school or skip school because you're scared of the consequence, which in theory makes it part of the combine.
