Rainbow moonstone was the very first gemstone I picked up and felt called to. It was so beautiful the way the colors were captured in the light. While rainbow moonstone caught my eye, moonstone comes in so many beautiful colors and types making it a powerful and diverse stone. Geologically speaking moonstone is a mix of two feldspar species, being itself a feldspar. Orthoclase is the first and is a main “ingredient” in granite. It is also used to make several types of porcelain and ceramic. Albite the other mineral isn’t as widely used but is found in some metamorphic mineral deposits. Minerals 1. The minerals under the DRI for my age group would be calcium, potassium, sodium, copper ,iron, magnesium, phosphorous, selenium, and zinc. The mineral that comes below the DRI would be be potassium. However, it is not more than 80% below the DRI. However I did have a low potassium intake.

The process of indigo dye being made by slaves in South Carolina in the 1700s is shown very well in the book Someone Knows My Name by Lawrence Hill. The production of this indigo dye has an extensive history of being extremely arduous to produce naturally, but results in a compact substance that will last a long period of time and be very valuable.
