Randall Brent Woodfield, more popularly known as the I-5 killer, was born on December 26, 1950. Woodfield was commonly known to have the nickname “Randy” (Ghose). While attending high school Woodfield was very well-known in his community and school. He was more popularly known for his athletic abilities. Excelling in the sport of football, Woodfield had been considered a football star in his hometown (Rosewood, 399). Woodfield played wide receiver for his football team, and he excelled tremendously in this position. He was a very important aspect of his high school's football team and many people saw his talents (Hallman). Woodfield gained interest in athletics by the persuasion of his father, persuading him into the athletics of football, basketball, and track (Ghose). Randall Woodfield was on a roll. From 1980 to 1981 he committed a large number of crimes, affecting tons of people, thankfully however, an end to this madness had been achieved. On March 16, 1981, Woodfield was charged with the murder of Cherrie Hull along with other charges consisting of rape, sodomy, attempted kidnapping, armed robbery, and illegal possession of firearms. His past had finally caught up with him. He was eventually found guilty for the murder of Hull as well as the attempted murder of Beth Wilmott and two counts of sodomy.

If it goes as scheduled, Texas will execute Jeff Wood next Wednesday for the 1996 murder of a gas station store clerk. The problem: It was a murder Wood did not commit. Wood is scheduled to be executed on August 24 for the murder of Kriss Keeran, a store clerk at a Texaco gas station. This is despite the fact Wood was in his car when Keeran was shot, and may have not known about the shooting until after it was too late.

Jeffrey Dahmer was born on May 21, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was known to be an energetic happy little boy until the age of 4 when he had to have surgery to correct a double hernia. People began to notice a change in Dahmer and he became increasingly withdrawn following the birth of his younger brother. His childhood was relatively normal, but as he got older he began to show no interest in hobbies or social interactions. His family frequently moved and his parents divorced when he was in his early teens.

On July 22nd, 1991, a man by the name of Tracy Edwards led police to the apartment of Dahmer, which resulted in his arrest and later conviction. Jeffrey Dahmer was a 31 year old gay man who brutally murdered and dismembered 16 men and boys for his own sadistic pleasure. Earle Nelson was one of the less well known serial killers in comparison to Jeffrey Dahmer or Jack the Ripper. Yet his crimes were still horrific. Earle Nelson wasn't always insane though, His killing spree was due to the traumatic brain injury he sustained as a child. After the accident which featured him being hit by a car while biking, he was never the same. His mind was forever altered leading to an unfortunate change of character.
