Gojek, Grab, and Uber are the three most popular companies well known in revolutionizing online public transportation service in Jakarta. Thanks to them, unemployment rate in Indonesia is decreasing drastically. The traffic congestion is just so bad to the point where it even ranked as the the worst traffic congestion in the world according to new index created by motor oil company Castrol in 2015 based on satellite navigation data. The index found that average driver starting and stopping more than 33,000 times in a year. It proves what novelist Seno Gumiro Ajidarma said that majority of Jakartan’s (people who live in Jakarta) waste 10 years of their lifetime in traffic. Time is more important than money, it never stops, moreover rollback. You won’t ever be able to get the time that you have lost forever, unless some genius scientist finds some shocking truth behind time. That’s why time should be treasured so much, but in Jakarta, treasuring is no easy matter because our time will always surely wasted on traffic congestion. There is almost no day without traffic congestion in Jakarta. Even in the weekend, traffic congestion is still happening in some specific spot. Traffic congestion has becoming too common in Jakarta that there is saying that Jakarta is not Jakarta without traffic congestion. The only time where Jakarta is freed from the gridlock curse is on Idul Fitri when people who live in Jakarta are either having a vacation outside of Jakarta or going back to their own …show more content…
MRT (Mass Rapid Transportation) seems to be the best solution. Using MRT should be way cheaper than using a private motor vehicle. Theoretically, it should also be faster because it’s moving on it’s own rail which mean no traffic congestion unlike when using private motor vehicle. It does take a lot of money to implement MRT, but it is more than worth it. The good news is that the government has realized this fact and MRT implementation is under construction now. There is also a bad news though, nowadays, people are getting more used to the ride-sharing and on-demand services of Gojek, Grab, and Uber, resulting in decreasing user of public transportation. It’s bad for Jakarta that has been making MRT. If it is allowed to continue, it would encourage more people to be online transportation drivers and in the worst case, it might also encourage more people from countryside to move to Jakarta to also become a drivers. In the end, the traffic congestion will be worse and worse. That’s why the government should act as soon as
Secondly, this helped the Apple Shippers Association because they were making money on their oversupply of apples. By selling their apples to the unemployed, they would earn money on apples they would have had to throw away. They would eventually get their credit money back from
This helped the common people because this meant that if they were treated unfair that the big businesses would have to pay a square deal. Secondly,
They reduced the production levels and laid off employees” (Hayes). Consequently, businesses were also forced to close their stores because of the loss of money and customers. “I thought this would only affect the rich. Then along with millions of others across the nation, I was without a job” (Hayes). By all means, millions of Americans worlds
It gave the working class much needed support by giving them more rights than they had before (Doc C). A lot was done to keep the working class from falling into poverty and now was the time when the working men had more rights than ever before. The country’s CPI went up, meaning that Americans were able to buy more. CPI can be used as an economic indicator, it can measure inflation and can be used as an indicator of how good the government policy is. Furthermore, since the CPI went up that meant that the implementation of the New Deal and FDR’s government policy was much improved from their predecessors (Visual 1.3).
Not only did it provide jobs, but it also distributed millions of hot meals to children. This meant that it saved parents money that they could entrust in banks and it also helped lower the all-time high unemployment rate. Based on doc 8 the social security act also helped provide jobs by removing the elderly from the work force. The SSA helped the elderly retire by sending them checks and allowing them to survive without having to work anymore. This allowed more workspace in the job market and also allowed the elderly to spend money and continue to contribute to the
Reagans economic policies resulted in a considerable decrease in unemployment and inflation as well as one of the largest peacetime economic booms in US history. Numerous jobs were created. Families were now able to plan, budget, and pay their bills. The Federal government that is often insatiable was now on a rest and businesses/entrepreneurs were no longer hassled unnecessarily.
This helps many people see that undocumented immigrants do not take any jobs away from anyone , they only take jobs that people do not want and are available . Like graders, sorters, they also work to make agriculture products, tailors , dressmakers, sewers, animal breeders, maids , housekeeping cleaners, taxi drivers and ext ( cis.org). The only reason they take the jobs that are available is because they do not care about what type of work there has to be done. They just work hard to earn money to take care of their family so they at least have a roof to sleep under and to get food on the table. Also undocumented immigrants have also helped the United States by bringing redistribution of wealth to America.
Most of these programs require proof of legal immigration status and under the 1996 welfare law, and even legal immigrants cannot receive these benefits until they have been in the United States for more than five years. Something else that the people of the United States believe is that undocumented immigrants take away American jobs. But to be quite frank the U.S. economy needs
The businesses took advantage of their workers by extending work hours but also leaving their wages the same. They were trying to work them for every penny they could not caring who they were hurting in the process. The people also disfavored the new political system they did not agree with politicians no longer listening to the opinions of the people, they felt that they were being silenced and they could do nothing about it. The corporations may have lowered the costs of a few accommodations but it was outweighed by the unfairness the people had to deal with.
Although this gave jobs to people, it only included friends and relatives which decreased the amount of the american population whom were to get a job. They should have found a way to be fair to all the population, so that they could be able to offer the same opportunities to all the population for them to have a better
Thought this was good for business it did not have the same affect on the workers. More had to learn how to deal with the circumstance of being away from their loved ones while their stuck in a factory all
Overall, it is supposedly a nightmare. Even though it seems like if helps get people out of poverty and also homeless to become employed, it backfires and gets others laid off and into poverty and to become homeless themselves. Some people might be laid off, so there’s a chance that it might not work out for some people. This is not a guaranteed way of reducing poverty. That’s why when the time comes, we should use similar solutions as the ones here to handle the complications.
Our policies on illegal immigration can diminish the problem by enforcing immigration laws, revoking birthright autonomy, and demanding proof of citizenship when applying for social services. Immigration has become a major problem in this country and needs to be restricted. Our economic implications would be beneficial towards the U.S. economy. Without the crutch of illegal immigrants holding us back, our U.S. economy can prosper more than ever. Due to the current economic slowdown, labor demands had been reduced and has forced many out of work.
This plan was successful because of the way it gave millions of unemployed people jobs and created Social Security.
Another important issue that even students get late to their school and everything will not be in time. Congestion always happens when people go and come from work so employs play a big part in congestion and it happens especially in big cities as the streets are big and people have their own cars not like towns or villages. In big cities, people prefer to use more their own private cars than using public transport but in towns they prefer the public transport. So, in big cities there will always be traffic jam as there are so many private cars in the street. When cars are banned then the traffic jam would disappear and people will be able to arrive in time and won’t affect
