Imagine you are visiting the wild forest of Southeast Asia. You suddenly hear a hissing noise you then realize it 's a mongoose and king cobra fighting. In a blink of an eye the fight got more intense. Who do you think you get the victory? Many people have studied and researching about these exciting animals and how they adapted in the wildlife. Think again Burmese Pythons are NOT the best pet if you don’t know how to care for it properly. First of all Burmese Pythons are one of the most deadly snakes in the world. “[Can grow] to an astounding length of 23 feet and a weight of 200 pounds” (Piven). Burmese Pythons are very unique, other than their outstanding length and weight, they kill their prey very different than most snakes. Burmese Pythons are constrictors.

Flashback to Florida; let’s take a closer look at the Everglades. The invasive (not original to a specific environment) pythons and anacondas mentioned earlier are a huge problem—literally. These reptiles can reach lengths of up to 20 feet, which is longer than three adult men lying head-to-toe. At such a size, they have few natural predators, so their numbers grow with little to keep them under control. The snakes compete with alligators for food, even making a meal of a gator once in a while.
The main reason of this is mainly because they were associated with violence and revenge in many Native American cultures and they were barely associated with positive qualities. The Native Americans had nine snake gods and spirits, Awanyu (Pueblo), Coatlicue (Aztec) , Horned Serpents (Eastern tribes), Pitaskog (Abenaki), Quetzalcoatl (Aztec), Situlili (Hopi/Zuni), Snake-Woman (Caddo), Tie-snake (Southeast tribes) , Unktehi (Lakota Indian Serpent). In Sioux and Blackfoot legends Unhcegila is a snake or serpent-like monster that was responsible for a countless amount of unexplained disappearances and deaths. It was said that it could swallow a human in one piece or squash the human with its weight alone. If Unhcegila 's slime touched the ground it passed over the ground, the ground would become infertile and its slime made flesh rot away.

In Mona Gardner’s “The Dinner Party” and Borden Deal’s “You Can’t Just Walk On By,” the protagonists are faced with the same situation. They are both confronted by a deadly snake. The protagonists learn the similar lessons: respecting all living creatures and remaining calm and thinking fast to survive danger. Both protagonists are confronted by a deadly snake that was not causing harm to anyone at the time, but each handle the moment differently with the same reason. In “The Dinner Party,” Mrs. Wynnes, the hostess of the dinner, was sitting at her table when she felt the cobra slither across her foot (Gardner).
Burmese Pythons are a species of snakes that originate from Southeast Asia. They are an invasive species, and invade in places such as the Florida Everglades. Many people had them as pets, but when they became too big for homeowners they decided to set them free into the Everglades. As snakes can eat many large and small animals, they have enough to food to survive. But as they are not native to the Florida Everglades they then have no natural predators, so they reproduce, and each egg has about 10 snakes in them, so you can see why that may be a problem.
At least once in their life, people make a decision, and grow to eventually regret what they have done and reflect on what could have been done instead. In the passage “The Rattler” the speaker recalls the time when he crosses paths with a snake and has to debate whether to kill the snake. The author invites the reader to feel empathy for the man and sympathy for the snake using the point of view of the man, attitude of the snake, and descriptions of the setting.
The venom was so poisonous that he died within first ten seconds of being bitten. All of the interwoven and main conflicts in the story have been resolved by Dr. Roylott’s death. In the manor, when they were waiting for the whistle, the mood shifted from curious to petrified, and the tone changed from serious to
