Reading nonfictional books can make a person feel different emotions. It can make you feel anger, sadness, sympathy and sometimes happiness. But watching a documentary film about a typhoon and its aftermath will obviously make you cry, most especially if you are one those unfortunate people who were hit and affected by the said typhoon. "Shifts" is a documentary film about Sendong and its aftermath, the typhoon that brought floods and mudslides that resulted in over 650 deaths and 800 still missing across the Southern Philippines. It was said in a news article that typhoon Sendong or Washi as it was internationally called, was the world 's deadliest storm for 2011. The hardest hit areas include major ports of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan, on the north coast of the island of Mindanao. The man climbed up the store 's roof and started to pull each one of us up the roof. When my feet made contact with the roof i felt relief flood my system. At least that time i felt like we were finally safe. The man went inside our house and helped my cousin who was trying to break down the door of his brothers ' room where they were still trapped.
