A Doll 's House is staged throughout the world, and has been even one and a half century later. there are other plays that have had a similar impact globally on social norms and conditions. Few other play characters can claim an equivalent importance as role model as Nora Helmer.

More than that, Henrik Ibsen gave theatrical art a new vitality by bringing in European bourgeois drama an ethical gravity,depth in terms of psychology, and a social significance which the theatre never had even including the days of William Shakespeare.

Ibsen said that his mission in life was to inspire individuals to freedom and independence which can be seen throughout the play.since he wrote about realism and modern theatre people could relate to them.He questioned the different roles of women and how he could motivate women to seek more power and speak for themselves.He also wanted that through this play the audience can look up to these characters like Nora and Mrs Linde who were independent which was not something that was seen normally during that time.He was not only focusing on feminism but humanism as a whole he not only wanted the women to stand up for themselves but also that the men start treating women equivalent to
