A dreamer is a person who thinks about hard long term goals. Dreamers want so much in life that it might be hard to achieve, but they still try to achieve them. Also there is that dreamers are more positive when things are bad. Ponyboy tries to stay positive when life is hard. He thinks of all of the good there can be in the world.As The Outsiders say,“Since I was dreaming I brought mom and dad back to life. Maybe johnny could come live with us. Maybe Dallas would see that there were some good in the world..” Ponyboy did this to make him happy and think what he wanted to think.“I half convinced myself that I have dreamed everything that had happened the night before. Realists do get to do what they want in life. As says, “While it is important to have high standards and lofty goals they need to be realistic and doable to avoid disappointment. “ That is good but, what about what you really wanted to do. Also the website says, “So many people live with the disappointment that they “could have been a contender.” When you are a realist you have to live life knowing you could have done better in life but, when you are a dreamer you know what you have in life. Another thing that the website said was,"We get in better touch with our many limitations and other priorities often having to settle for something less than we had hoped for when we were young dreamers. " Even though some people think that realist get what they want in life. This proves that being a dreamer is better than a realist because you don't try for what you want you will always regret it, and you will we can go above what we dreamed when we were young.
