The American Revolutionary War, which was during 1775-1783, was the prosperous military revolt against Great Britain. Originally there were the thirteen colonies that had become the United States of America, which were previously under Great Britain. By the time the American Revolution took place, the people were starting to get tired of how the British people were ruling. There were multiple reasons for the colonies to act up, but the main reason was the taxation issue. The people questioned whether England should be able to tax them, and had thought that England should no longer be able to tax them without representation. Then there was the Revenue Act of 1764 that was able to become a constitutional issue of whether it was right or not
