If i would have to pick any character in the book who caused all the problems i would have to say it was Romeo. I’m saying it’s romeo because he kept the marriage between him and juliet a secret, he killed tybalt, and he was very hasty.

One of the reasons he is to blame for the lovers death is because he gave Juliet the vial. Another reason he is to blame for the deaths is because he didn't make sure Romeo got the letter explaining what Juliet’s plan was. The last reason to blame Friar Lawrence is because he married the two in secrecy.

Although much could have been done to prevent their suicides, these “star-crossed lovers” ultimately are not able to avoid their destiny. In my opinion I think that the feud between the two main families, the Capulets and the Montagues, is the most responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death. The conflict between these two families is so distasteful that it causes Romeo and Juliet even more of a struggle as they try to find and keep their love. This conflict between the Capulets and the Montagues has been going on for a very long time and neither side is willing to make up for whatever may have happened in the past. Because of this a strong dislike is portrayed when someone sees a person from the opposite side. If the family feud wouldn’t have existed Romeo and Juliet would not have any large reason to hide their relationship. Throughout the play them together is shown as forbidden

All actions are influenced. Whether it's you working harder to make someone proud, or doing something to make someone angry. There is always an outside influence. I believe that the Capulet and Montague family is this outside influence that caused Romeo and Juliet to end their lives. They had driven the kids to this horrible solution with their constant rivalry, endless pressure to be perfect, and their quickness to judge. They are to blame for the saddening ending to this tragic love story.
