In the year 2030 the United States should colonize South America. South America is known for its vast land, plentiful crops, and different types of climates. America should colonize South America because it is the fourth largest continent and is plentiful in mining, oil, and fish.
Colonization is when a group of people relocate to a new area to help the native people become more developed. In the 1800 's Europe colonized Africa because of its vast land, good location, and plentiful resources. Along with having potatoes, and other agriculture South America is in the mining industry. ”The mining industry is one of South America’s most important economic engines…. More than one-quarter of the world’s known copper reserves are in South America” (National Geographic, N.D., Para 17 and 18 ). South America is known for its copper and mining, but that is not one of their biggest ways to make money, with the help of the United States, South America can partner up with America’s mining partners and barter and trade the copper as a way of income. South America is surrounded by plenty of water so it makes sense that ”Marine fisheries are the most important economic activity along South America’s Pacific coast….” (National Geographic, N.D. Para 16 ) Along the coast South America can import and export their fish and other goods to other countries and continents around the world as a way of making money and increasing South America’s income.
