Recycling is something that can reduce the use of energy, and great way of controlling air, water and land pollution. In many countries, the Government helps the citizens in the environment by labeling all the trashcans around the city, which is a good way to make work less difficult during garbage collection. It is one way of conserving our natural resources, because we don’t use raw materials more often. Finally, it creates job. Citizens can be employed to collect and transform waste products into new, and useful materials.
According to Environmental Paper Network, 2007: ' 'Making copy paper from 100% recycled content fiber instead of 100% virgin forest fibers reduces total energy consumption by 44%, net greenhouse gas emissions by 38%, particulate emissions by 41%, wastewater by 50%, solid waste by 49% and wood use by 100%".these statistics clearly show the impact of recycling. Therefore, recycling waste is very important for the environment these days. The purpose of this study is to help the environment by using recycled objects. It is very important for everyone to know that recycling can help them to get better life because the pollution will be less. Recycling can have a huge impact on the environment by reducing pollution, minimizing the threats posed by global warming, and reducing the energy consumption.
As I understand recycle means a process to change used things, into brand new useful products. So it 's one of the coolest things that we can all do it to help the earth, recycling has been made mandatory in many areas around the world and in this area if people don’t comply with the regulations they will be fined. Recycling throughout the world should be mandatory in order to cut down on landfill buildup and prevent the planet from being covered in waste it 's the
For example, recycling is enhancing the environment because this process avoids burning trash, which is detrimental to the ozone layer. Furthermore, as societies are advancing in technology, the demand for energy is increasing rapidly; thus, recycling is reducing energy consumption because previously manufactured materials are being used so that new products do not need to be rendered from scratch. “By recycling, you drastically reduce the amount of industrial waste. Instead of those soda cans going into a landfill to clutter the Earth, they’re taken back to the manufacturer to be broken down and reused.” (“Advantages & Disadvantages”). When less waste goes to the landfill, more natural resources can be
Thus today suppliers are more willing to supply only those products which are easily recyclable. Thus manufacturer is forced to adapt to design and process by which easily recyclable goods are manufactured. Similarly consumers are now more concerned with the environment thus they are buying those products which consumes less energy and are more eco-friendly. This approach is mutually beneficial as consumers saves by the way of recycling and power consumption. As these imitative are going to get a large scale, they will start making considerable profits.
Provide a robust and efficient waste disposal and recycling system – Contamination of the soil, ecosystems, the food chain and water supply is reduced. “...soil and groundwater contamination are not the only direct adverse effects of improper waste management activities - recent studies have also shown that greenhouse gas emissions from the wastes are significant, exacerbating global climate change.” Doršner, (2015). Once landfills are filled and covered properly, they become safer and the land can be re-used e.g. for some sports. Hopefully, there will also be fewer incidences of chronic illnesses due to exposure to harmful waste.
Companies are seen to engage in green-washing due to poor environmental performance and positive communication regarding their environmental performance. However, it takes a shorter time frame for companies to react to the communications about their environmental performance than for a firm to change its environmental performance. Companies should thus increase the transparency of their environmental performance. This would be done in a bid to reduce the incentives to positively communicate about environmental performance thereby mitigating the incidence of
The production will allow for job creation on quite a large scale, thus improving the financial status of many. With individuals having more access to capital the GDP of the country, as a whole, will grow. The environmental factors concerning RDF are not in its favour as the combustion of the waste emits harmful gasses such as CO2, which is lead to believe to being the main cause of global warming despite its 0,04% in the atmosphere. I see RDF as a viable solution to the existing energy crisis in South Africa because not only will it reduce the volume of waste in landfill sites, but will also provide a more cost-effective way to create energy. Nuclear
Significance of the Study Reduction of wastes in the industries and in the environment is of primary concern nowadays. The purpose of this study is to help in utilizing some of these wastes by fertilizer production. Filter cake of Central Azucarera de don Pedro Inc. will be used in the study as its raw material. These filter cake will be used as the source of fertilizer, a natural material that will pose no harm in the environment. Since the desired product in the study will be made from the CADPI’s filter cake, the company’s organic waste will be reduced significantly.
resupplying recycled materials as secondary resources. Government and businesses are encouraged to promote recycling through changes in procurement processes especially. The growth of composting programs, especially in farming and rural areas of South Africa, has great environmental benefits. Not only does it reduce the need for artificial compost and fertilisers that can pose health risks as well as ozone damage, but it reduces the amount of organic waste ending up in landfills or polluting the streets. CNG technology is also taking the recycling industry by storm.
