What would you do if you found out a secret that changed everything? This is what happened to Brady Parks the made character of the book. This book has a great author, she is Priscilla Cummings, she was Born in 1951. Hobbies and other interests include Reading, playing piano, and taking walks.
The genre of Red Kayak is Young-adult fiction. I think this is a perfect genre for this book. Young adults would love this book because it swears in the book but not as much to where they would have to change the genre to adults. I am a “young adult” and i love this book. Another reason why I love this book is because it is easy to follow along so you will be able to do good on test or quizzes on the book.
Red Kayak has a variety of characters, some of the main characters are, Brady Park- Main Character, enjoys the water, and likes crabbing, Brady 's Dad, Brady 's Mom, Tilly- Brady 's dog, yellow lab, likes to play catch, Carl-Brady 's cousin, paramedic, give Brady rides, J.T. - Brady and digger 's friend, loves technical

The setting of this book mainly takes place by the Corsica river in Maryland. Other places of the book consist of Brady 's house, Brady 's school, Mrs. DiAngelos house, and in Brady 's dad 's shed. I think this is a very good choice by the author because maryland is mostly a “southern state” so it is in the country (districts and small settlements outside large towns, cities, or the capital) so there will be many places to hide things.
The Red Kayak is written from the point of view of a thirteen-year-old boy named Brady Parks. Brady is the son of a Chesapeake Bay waterman and his wife, Dee Parks. He loved the Corsica river where he and his family fish for crabs( pg 5). A new family, the DiAngelos move in next door to Brady’s family (pg 23). They are one of the more wealthiest families that moved into the neighborhood. ( pg 17) I think that the Red Kayak is one of the best books i 've read and would recommend it to anyone that
The book starts off in Pearl Harbor when the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor. A very interesting thing i learned that soldiers during WW2 called the Japanese fighter planes meat balls because the planes had a picture of the Japanese flag on the wing of the plane. This book takes places in the 1940’s when the US
The book has many characters with very different personalities. The book has unexpected twists and turns throughout it. The novel involves kidnappers, a dragon and (of course) the 5 children from Miami that know nothing about what they’re getting into. This book started out as, a fairly normal story.
The main characters in the book Is a boy named Nick, and a girl named Summer. Nick is brave, smart, and sneaky. Summer is intelligent, trustworthy, and friendly. Nick finds out about a time portal from his grandpa. This story takes place in Detroit.
Have you ever told a lie? That lie that you told, did you have a lot of guilt and were you worried that your parents or someone was going to find out what you did or lied about? In the book the Red Kayak Priscilla Cummings shows us that how lying leads to worry, guilt, and shame. Lying leaves you wishing you had never lied it the first place.
One reason why i like this book is because when he got injured he kept trying to succeed. I like that he kept trying to push himself when he got hurt because he always followed his dream and made it. The 12 year old name was Michael Arroyo and since he was young he loved baseball. Michael had a pitching arm so nice that it threw heat. Michael was from Cuba and its sad that he only has his 17 year old brother to take care of him.
This book was absolutely phenomenal. The quirky characters and the close relationships they had with each other pull in the reader. It uses suspense to keep the reader constantly guessing what will happen next. In this book Chris Crutcher confronts many mature themes such as mental illness, racism, suicide, and death, while still being able to keep the book light hearted in many places.
The book keeps you on your toes because when think they are going to escape something happens and the rebels find them once again. I honestly could not put this book down and it was an easy read and would recommend this
He was born to Tom Sr and Galynn Patricia Brady, and grew up with his siblings Julie, Maureen, and Nancy Brady. He attended high school at Junipero Serra High and graduated in 1995. While attending the University of Michigan, he had been offered a chance to play professional baseball but chose to play football for Michigan. Tom Brady
I think this book is very creative, because of the way the book is written and how the emotions
This story is an example of realistic fiction. This is very easy to see just by looking at the real settings, true-to-life-themes, and believable dialogue. One of the main reasons Red Kayak is realistic fiction, is because of the use of realistic settings. The story Red Kayak has very realistic settings ranging from their home, to the river they go crabbing on.
The characters I will be discussing in this book are Henry Fleming, Wilson, and Jim Conklin. The Red Badge of Courage is centered around a young man named Henry Fleming who decides at a young age to enlist in the military. Henry later discovers different sides of himself that he didn’t know even existed. Henry is burdened with the feeling of fear that he has and goes to other soldiers and tries to get them to admit that they are fearful as well.
The novel has multiple settings as characters travel from Boston to Washington D.C., because the reporters are covering stories regarding the World Series. The book says that “Only about ten minutes. Nothing in Boston is very far.” and “Stevie noticed they were back near Washington International Airport.” showing that the main characters are in Washington and Boston.
The novel takes place in the fictional town of Starkfield, Massachusetts, in the winter and most likely during the early 1900s, a time better known as the Progressive Era. The Progressive Era ushered in massive change and innovation in areas like education and transportation. However, this change seems to pass Starkfield by, a town of fairly modest means and nothing too exuberant. Due to poor transportation, the residents of Starkfield could become “stuck” and “trapped” during the harsh winter, as well as the rest of the year in this isolated town. The limited opportunities and lack of choice in Starkfield also hold the characters back, particularly Ethan Frome.
This novel was exceptionally peculiar, which made the book nearly impossible to predict and held my attention until the very end. Matthew Quick was able to write a story I could easily relate to because of my passion towards basketball and common hardships teenagers endure. Moreover, frequent scenarios within the novel showed realistic struggles within violence that are very relatable and realistic in the 21st century. For instance, the internal struggles of high schoolers such as jealousy and trying to fit in. On top of this, it was astounding to see all three dynamic characters, Russ, Erin, and Finley develop throughout the story, as all three grew their friendship and learned from one another leaving you breathless.
