Red Lettuce-Personal Narrative
yesterday, I was looking for something reddish, and last night there was a purple lettuce at the supermarket. awesome! couldn't resist to buy one, as well as the usual green lettuce.
but it was a bit bitter for a regular salad.
I should have cut that in real thin slices, for the husband's disapproving face was throwing me glances at the kitchen counter while munching on bitter veggie that he had for the first time. it was almost unbearable.
he got his overflowing big plate of salad after all, with extra tuna and homemade sesame dressing.
I told him to just imagine as if he's drinking wine without the alcohol, since almost the same anthocyanadins are present.
then, I got this purple lettuce into my midnight smoothie, too. it sure tastes
