You offered help whenever possible, even in the simplest of tasks to help me get through this. Thank you for your love and support. Thank you for being proud me from the start until now. More than anyone, this thesis is dedicated to you. To my siblings, Kuya and Angela, thank you for helping me in your own little and big ways.
In the end, that’s why I choose to focus my time, and energy around those who inspire, support, and encourage me. When its all said and done, those are the people who want to see me grow into my happiest, strongest, wisest self. I am a firm believer that you can do anything as long as you have the passion, the drive, the focus, and the support. With that being said, I am so grateful to have been rewarded with such a phenomenal group of family and friends who have been supportive of me from the beginning. I know that they will continue to be here for me in whatever way I need them to be.
In a few short weeks, heartbreaking news and the beginning of a long struggle would transform the lives of myself and my family. My grandparents, living in that little brown ranch house, played a huge role in my early life, often my biggest supporters and role models. So when my eighty-three year old grandmother was told less than a month later that her congestive heart failure left her with less than six months to live unless she chose to have open heart surgery, I was devastated. She had vowed to never do it, leaving me to think I was bound to lose one of my best friends. Less than a month later, she
Lastly I’m thankful for God. The first thing I am thankful for this Thanksgiving is my family. I’m thankful for my family because they are always there when I need them. They will always be there for me no matter what. They will always take care of me.
4. Explain 5 things you value. Some of the values and beliefs that make the person I am include: Family and friends- I value the idea of keeping family and friends important in my life. For me, family and friends are the ones that will always be there for me when I’m down and will help me when experiencing troubling times. Having some type of support network is important because it reminds me that someone will always be there and I have someone to talk to.
Not only are we emotionally attached to one another, but also each and every one of us supports and backs up each other just like a family unit would. And then, when our family begins to gradually fade one by one, we encourage our friends to follow and accomplish their dreams for the
But trustworthy doesn't only mean keeping a secret it also means that you have to be there for someone if they need it and to protect them. I know I can trust my Dad in any situation small or big. He is my hero. My sister is a big part of my life she has always been there for me and whether or not she knows it I look up to her. She always has my back and I know I can talk to her about anything.
Where I thought I would need to endure this trial alone, I discovered such love and empathy amongst my family and companions that helped remind me that all was not lost. My mind voyaged numerous spots all through this period from the ordinary mundane to the unique abstract; however, the most productive of my voyages was that in which I remembered why I had trained and worked so hard. I thought of numerous other reasons such as the need to get in shape or get fit, but upon deeper scrutiny and exploration, I can still clearly see that I was bound by my
If my parents were not meant to be married, they are now happier and amazing parents to me and my siblings being apart. I strongly believe that everything in life happens for a reason. Yes I do have control over my future but I am where I am for a reason. And I believe that often times bad things are a blessing, and they welcome good things in the future. The coming together of my family during this hard time really shows me how important it is to be supportive and caring for others in times of good and
My family has always taught me to help people out when they need it and reach out because you never know what situation they have been through. When I see someone who is in pain, needs a friend to talk to, or needs help; therefore, I will be there. I love helping and seeing how thankful different individuals are. Helping the residents helped me become more of an adult because I learned how to treat them and how they like to be treated like, as an adult. They want to do everything they possibly can, it’s great to encourage them to do so.
I come from a family which displays strength and resilience. Through a difficult situation my family remains strong. I will be able to use the resilience I have learned to persevere in college whenever a challenge presents itself. This will add to Towson University 's community because I understand the importance of a family. Towson 's community is indeed a family.
Patience is the key to success in life. My experience being a caregiver for Alzheimer 's patients has taught me to be patient. Impatience causes our stress levels to rise. From my experience I 've noticed that I 've faced many challenging obstacles that sometimes I don 't know how I managed to solve the problem. If I 've never had patience before I know I received it from being a caregiver.
