Reflection about reading “No Excuses University—Interventions” Young McVay Ashford University Reflection about reading “No Excuses University—Interventions” Interventions can be greatly help children who really need extra support and it make a huge difference in their school life. It is teachers’ decision when they really needed or how they introduce the intervention to children who need. I perceived the term of intervention that was happen with when someone or group of people come up with innovational ideas to change things improve the circumstances. A lot of time, it is not cheap to adapt the intervention from outside and trigger the delaying. After I read Lopez article, it change my view toward intervention. According to what Lopez (2013)said,“ it is important that we first grasp the fact that our greatest interventions are often the ones that come as a result of the way we utilize our time intentionally.” This is meaningful phrased because he argues that it is not the money but our time. As author described, I think the greatest interventions created from the teachers since the teachers know the student well and can resolve the best way through carefully planned intervention. For example teacher can help student struggle with reading comprehension, may can give one in one instruction when the class focus with their work. When teachers take an extra time off, it may return with innovated ideas to stimulate positive
