Quality Ethics Reflection Paper- Ethics in Marketing It has been witnessed that not any business operations are free from ethical considerations. Ethics are the structure of laws and morals that should be practiced or exercised while doing any businesses. Legal guidelines and cultural norms basically provide enough guidelines required to be followed in each business operation (Shabir & Thwates, 2007). Considering Ethics in the marketing domain, I have found many fundamentals intended for ethics in that particular domain. It has been a hot topic as not each business can stand alone without taking help of any enigmatic way and in doing so, it is understandable that we find cloudy business practices that may or may not breach the ethical guidelines. In the same way, considering the history of the said subject in the near past, many telephone calls proclaiming as survey purpose calls indeed waste the time and the life of the customers. I find these surveys unreliable, spine-chilling and privacy breaching one. It’s indeed unethical engagements of the marketing that starts from the survey and ends up with selling any items to the call receivers without customer’s perception. Also, in the past, tobacco has been projected as the sophisticated and full of healthy features. However, due to intense marketing, many ranchers, illiterate and ignorant people start in taking it to a greater degree, which, in turn, proves to be hazardous for their human bodies. Moreover, in the past, in the name of safety, many types of condoms have been promoted widely. Such expensive condoms without a doubt cost much to their users. Such past researches have been speaking about ethical pitfalls in advertising and profile-raising activities. Let 's say, in my observation, as identified, I find sex, blasphemy, violence, racism and negative advertising subjects to promote products in general. Nonetheless, such subjects cause or may develop inappropriate attitudes, styles and thoughts or perceptions in children or women or unschooled people. Moreover, seeing study from 1960 to 2000, I realize that not so many theoretical foundations has been established regarding Ethics in Marketing subjects, but, I realize that, eventually, the state of marketing ethics research is categorized far-reaching way as having comprehensive reporting, superior theoretical distinguishability and an emerging hypothetical and pragmatic groundwork.
