It deals with behavior and attitudes of learners. During preparing this assessment, my behavior and attitude changed a lot. This is because with goal setting and strategic planning, there may be changes required and if there is an attitude to be able to adapt to changes that it would make it easier for the team or the individual to be able to make changes to the strategy in order to achieve the
I am currently working for the drug and alcohol service Blenheim CDP, as part of the Insight team, volunteering in a multicultural and busy area of London. I work independently and as a team to support individuals and their families with issues caused by substance misuse. I provide screening, assessments, risk assessments; implementing, monitoring and reviewing SMART care plans. I build therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries with clients to deliver tailor-made packages of care using a strengths-based approach. Wallace (2006), states that if outcomes are not achieved by students the lesson is not achieving the primary purpose. This is why assessing plays a significant role in the learning process. Formative assessment gives feedback about the learners’ progress through the course and a summative assessment is carried out at the end of the course and this is a formal way to check if the learner has met the outcomes of the course (Gravells 2014).
I was surprised to find myself put into English 110A, when I received my schedule on the orientation day, for two reasons: it never occurred to me that composition is taught at college level, and I am not an English or a literature major. When I hear writing, I cringe. I am not a writer; I cannot compose good writings according to my secondary education experiences. So, when our professor asked us on the first day of class about our expectations of this class, my first thought was: I just want to pass. However, my perspective changed over the course of this semester because of my learning experiences in the class lectures, the textbook, and the peer editing workshops.
This is a summary of my learning whilst being on the foundation degree. I am finally at the end of my counselling degree and I think this has been my biggest accomplishment to date, alongside raising my boys. I have learned such a lot about myself and gained a better insight into how and why I relate to others the way I did and still do. In my PDP presentation, I talked about client work, supervision, peers, Personal development group, and personal therapy so I will just summarise these in this essay.
In the beginning, my comfort level on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the greatest comfort, I was a 1. I was unsure of what to say and how others would react to what I said. I have never been the greatest actor either. After working with others in my triads, I realized we are all in the same boat. There are some students that are great at what they say in the session and others like me, who are still unsure.
During my first semester at Xavier University, I attained a 3.25 G.P.A. I know that a 3.25 G.P.A is a poor performance for a prospective law student and I must, therefore, explain it. I can assure the admissions committee that my first-semester G.P.A does not represent my potential to succeed in Law. Upon arriving at Xavier University, the reality that I was alone in a new environment dawned on me. I soon realized that I had to adjust to a new system of doing things including, American weather, culture, food, and American education.

They work alongside the families of the individuals to ensure that they can meet all the needs if it is able to happen. Growing up on an Island in the middle of the Pacific, I was surrounded by minorities my whole life. I had the pleasure of growing up in a melting pot of cultures. I was able to interact, experience, and learn from different cultures, within the South Pacific Region as well as Asia. Looking back I can now see how the native people of Guam had a preconceived perceptions of those other cultures.
