God’s not dead is a Christian drama film, where the protagonist finds his faith challenged on the first class of Philosophy by his Professor, Mr. Radisson, who was an atheist and wanted the class to know that there’s no thing such as God, that His existence was not real. The protagonist won’t admit this, so he must prove God’s existence with intelligent, well-researched and valid information with wise arguments and evidence to prove his point in three lectures of twenty minutes long. Whereas, a business is a decision-making organization involved in the production of goods and the provision of services. These businesses exist to satisfy needs and wants of people, governments and organizations. So, how can we relate the movie to business? Well, the movie in general is about defending God’s existence, but there are some parts in the movie that are actually relatable to business. Being human beings, we know some things and we may not know other things, so the protagonist researches loads of information about God’s existence that people may not know, so he can build up the correct arguments in the debates, with this being him innovative towards the class, because he is introducing something new to them. With this, entrepreneurs have to do the same when creating a new product or service. They need to do some research about what people need and want, and with this find a niche in the market so they can create something successful. They are also innovative and passionate about their work of producing something new and with this, minds of people tend end up being more
In the fourth paragraph, there are a series of rhetorical questions that represent the absurdity of the business culture. “What, I would ask my father, is better to argue with? How the success was achieved, what went into it, who suffered because of it?” These rhetorical questions leave the reader to ponder the true meaning of this paragraph. He strives to unmask the true nature of business, which is making money, not political statements.
Re-invention has thousands upon thousands of opportunities to appear and influence a person’s life. It can happen without a person being aware of the event happening, like what a person eats, how they get places, or what music they listen to. Every decision a person makes has a cost or trade off. The re-invention god does not care if the decision a person makes is about what shoes they wear today or if the person is deciding about which house to buy; the choice shifts all past decisions creating an altogether new entity. A person’s ancestral history and the relationships they are in also re-invent someone.
God’s Not Dead The title for the movie, God’s Not Dead, is a little misleading because for someone to be dead they had to initially exist. The argument in the movie deals with the existence of God or lack thereof. In the movie Professor Radisson appears to be an atheist and while teaching his Introduction to Philosophical Thoughts class he uses his intimidating authority to persuade the class that God is dead. The reason this author uses the term, “appears to be an atheist,” is because Radisson truly believes in the existence of God but is profusely mad at Him for the loss of his mother which occurred when he was only twelve.
In Their Eyes Were Watching God, each relationship that Janie has is defined by the rare silences within it. One sees exactly how a relationship functions from the silences within it. From the characteristics of the silences, one can see the success or the failure of a relationship and of the people within it. In her first relationship with Mr. Killicks, her silences are in solitude, and always at times where she wouldn’t be with him. Her second relationship, Jody, had a constant one-sided silence from Janie.
In order to emphasize God’s contempt for the audience, Jonathan Edwards utilizes inflammatory diction and comparisons of God’s anger to a bow and arrow and “black clouds” to instill fear in the audience so that they will accept God as their savior, provoking a religious revival. Throughout the sermon, Edwards utilizes “fiery” phrases such as “furnace of wrath”, “wrath…burns like fire”, and “glowing flames of the wrath of God” in order to establish a connection between God’s fury and a burning fire, reaffirming the reality of going to hell, as hell is commonly associated with fire. Because fires are also very devastating and unpredictable, Edwards emphasizes the power and degree of God’s disdain and his ability to cause drastic change at unexpected times, making God’s patience seem fragile.
Since he does feel happiness from the chase for knowledge, he has the right to be inspired by this action. He also mentions that the Golden One, a woman he meets and falls in love with, brings him joy, which he wouldn’t be able to say if it wasn’t for his curiosity and desire to know her that soars to levels unreachable. Therefore, his innovation and meeting of the Golden One refer back to his beginning of reaching for knowledge. The nature of a human also justifies the way they’re motivated.

Descartes declares he has to determine if there is a God and if he does exist, whether he can be a deceiver. The reason he has to determine the existence of God and what he is, rests in his theories of ideas. This is because we do not know if there is an outside world and we can almost imagine everything, so all depends on God’s existence and if he is a deceiver. “To prove that this non-deceiving God exists, Descartes finds in his mind a few principles he regards as necessary truths which are evident by the “natural light” which is the power or cognitive faculty for clear and distinct perception.” If arguments is presented in logical trains of thought, people could not help but to be swayed and to understand those arguments.

Finally, this last example of Christian life story taken from the film is representing most of the Christians reasons on believing Jesus Christ. Newsboys, the band that is part of the cast of the movie asked by a reporter how they can believe that God and Jesus are real. They answered that they believed because it gives them hope. Just like many Christians’ reason why they still believed in God and Jesus Christ in spite of their hardships is because by believing, it gives them hopes in life and motivation that after all these circumstances, there is a reward that awaits them in the kingdom of God.
