Reflection on the Ethical and Moral Issues Involved of Patient’s Experience In this fast-changing world, there are constant clashes of cultural-based values, accordingly, this might lead to conflicts of values and actions when judging whether an issue is right or wrong. However, such controversies should be prevented and every decision should be grounded in the medical field, as healthcare professionals deal with human well-being and life. Therefore, emphasis should be placed on living up to health ethics, which is a set of moral principles that conduct health professionals in making decision. (ppt) In the following paragraphs, patient’s experience of receiving health care services will be analyzed in relation to health ethics. First and foremost, I would like to give a brief account of the patient 's medical experience. The interviewee, Ms. Kwong, was working as an operator in a social service agency in 1998. Later, she visited a doctor as she experienced unclear hearing when answering the phone calls. The symptoms were first relieved after taking some medication, however, the condition worsened some days later and she was referred to an otorhinolaryngologist in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for further checkups. It is also where she was diagnosed as having nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC). The tumor was removed after undergoing electrotherapy.
