I was also able to interact with parents and provide resources for education, housing, food, and nutrition. These experiences taught me how to tune my ideas into actionable goals fine and how to juggle multiple responsibilities. I was also able to cater my message to various populations and communities in a relatable way. Many of my team members and colleagues were pursuing master’s degrees in social work. My two AmeriCorps years are where I learned how the degree would complement my experience to better my performance as I climb up the career
By partaking in a more instructional capacity, I will also be expanding my skills. To improve and become more capable in the Professional Support Services pathway as a possible instructional coordinator, I could volunteer to teach a skill to others. Another area of needed improvement involves expanding my expertise in my field. As an undergraduate student, I am still a novice in the field of psychology. To improve and become more accomplished in the Teaching and Training pathway, such as the position of a psychology teacher, I could read more journal articles and expand my knowledge of studies, treatment, and terminology.
Starting off my list of goals I want to start by finishing my school year out strong and work to my best ability to accomplish them. An example of a goal I have is to make it on the all A honor roll for all four quarters, and to receive the scholarships that I applied for. Other goals that come to mind is getting into the college I applied for, and sustain a high GPA to accomplish other goals at college. With these goals I have set for my life ahead, it will help me work to my highest potential. Another goal I have is to be a great leader/ role model for not only my family, underclassmen, but my community.
My college career has been devoted to learning how to become a teacher. I 've taken a variety of courses that not only have exposed me to new content, but to a new perspective about education. I have learned about the teaching strategies, techniques and approaches that make a great teacher. Student teaching will enable me to put them into practice. Furthermore, the opportunity to student teach will provide me with a strong foundation to become the best teacher I can.

Another form of reflection that I use is discussions with colleagues. While reflecting with my grade level team, we share successes, challenges, and ideas for improvements. After reading the lecture on reflection my understanding of reflection was expanded, and I was able to identify strengths and weaknesses in my reflective practices. Although I was familiar with the importance of reflection in teaching, the lecture helped me to understand why reflection is important for all professionals. I learned that reflection is important in any profession where there are situations that arise that do not have one “right” solution.
This is the reason why I had a long enduring battle to be able to speak a new language and unstable academic performance throughout my college career. During Spring Quarter of 2017, I had the opportunity to volunteer in a program called Conversation Partner Program through my diversity study class. In this program, I conversed with my partner, who was new in the United States, on a weekly basis. Each week, we talked about our cultures, interests, and hobbies. As this program helped my partner practice English, it also helped me gain self-esteem and confidence to express myself openly about what my academic and personal challenges were to the people who know me best.

Besides that , I have plenty of opportunities to present papers and get contacts of other teachers by attending these conferences . Therefore , selecting a high quality of professional development is my choice to get a valuable input in a short period . That is, I should always reflect on my work. For instance, when I teach in a class, I should reflect whether my lesson was well planned and the techniques used were correct. For me, the goal of this module is to provide opportunities for trainee teachers to see and feel teaching as a form of enquiry and as a continual learning
